To Be or Not to Be

    2004 - 12.25

    Merry Christmas!

We’re taking the day so we offer a pre-recorded round table
program: Did the economy do what was expected in 2004 and where will it head in 2005? How do the gold bugs account for the lack of predicted performance of their precious little metal and where will the death of the dollar take us? Today’s guests usually appear when John co-hosts the Financial Sense Newshour (www.financialsense.com), his other radio persona. Guests include Jim Puplava, Bill Powers, Dave Morgan, Tim Wood, and Jim Willie.

John’s boralogue examines the secular assault to impose politically correct thinking on the church, even requiring it to sacrifice its very soul. He compares today’s church with the fourth century church, when it confronted the same problem under the Diocletian persecution: to be or not to be Christian.

    Christianity Bashing as a Sport

    2004 - 12.18

Busy program today. First we jump to the UK to examine England’s latest media sport: Christianity bashing, which sport is conflicting with a new hate speech law proposed in Parliament.
Both the Christians and anti-Christians don’t want it. Chris Munday guests.

Then we look at new research which reveals that children with ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) have abnormal brain pathways between sections of the brain. Dr. Manzari Ashtari, PhD, Associate Professor of Radiology and Psychiatry at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health Center is a guest for this segment. This study may become a watershed in the controversy as to whether or not ADHD is a genuine nervous system disorder.

Finally we devote a part of the program to an interview with Dr. Jane Orient of Doctors for Emergency Preparedness
(www.oism.org/dep) and how to keep a cool head when everyone is losing theirs during emergencies.

John’s boralogue ties together euthanasia in Holland with a call by a member of Britain’s Parliament for the elderly to eliminate themselves from society to the death of social programs in the west. The culture of death is beginning to metastasize worldwide.

    Frankenfood’s Future Fickle Fate

    2004 - 12.11

The FDA has refused to reveal the deleterious effects of genetically engineered food and that altered food can alter the DNA inside people who consume it. It’s another revolving door between the FDA and genetic engineering companies to keep the lid on a dangerous secret. Jeffrey Smith, author of “Seeds of Deception,” (www.seedsofdeception.com) is our primary guest today.

Jim Puplava (www.financialsense.com), originator of the “perfect financial storm” concept stops by to discuss the raging debate over the dollar’s demise and whether it will result in a hyperinflation or an implosive monetary contraction.”

John’s boralogue reports on lights in the skies everywhere around the world along with an explosion of crop circles but not to worry, no one seems to care, and it’s business as usual.

    Patriot Act II

    2004 - 12.04

As Patriot Act II looms over the horizon, there are, believe it or not, conservatives who are concerned about the decay of constitutional protections in the name of fighting the war on terror. We have a conversation with staunch conservative and former congressman Bob Barr (www.bobbarr.org) of Georgia, who is lobbying for the ACLU against provisions in the Patriot Act.

The last segment of the program features news stories as well as clips from the gold show, which took place in San Francisco last weekend.

John’s boralogue examines new changes in Washington as well as the claim that we are saving freedom by destroying it.

    Not Ready for RU-486?

    2004 - 11.27

Well once again, a drug that was approved by the FDA on a fast- track political basis rather than a scientific one turns out to have serious side effects, like death. The FDA has tacitly admitted that by putting new warnings on the morning-after pill, RU-486, only after several people have died. Yet the side effects were well-known before the drug was approved, in an abbreviated process usually reserved for AIDS and cancer patients. Professor Lawrence Roberge, chairman of the Science Department at Goodwin College (www.lawrenceroberge.com), did all this research years ago and predicted the results would be disastrous.

There’s another movie about sex-researcher ,Kinsey but the PC crowd still won’t admit that Kinsey’s "normal" American subjects were sex offenders in prison, pimps, prostitutes and pedophiles. An interview we did with Dr. Judith Reisman, author of "Kinsey, Sex and Fraud," (www.drjudithreisman.com) in November of 1991 is as valid today as it was then.

John’s boralogue examines the horrible philosophical conundrum that liberals have boxed themselves into as some Democrats are talking about reinventing the party.

    Nuke on a Chain

    2004 - 11.20

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Under the table everyone seems to be waiting for another terrorist "incident," and indications are it may well be nuclear or a combination of nuclear and disruption of infrastructure. Phillip Smith (www.nukalert.com) is one of two scientists, who have developed a radiation detector that fits on a key chain, who are adamant about the need for civil defense preparation. Phillip maintains that the government is doing nothing to train Americans to deal with disasters in their communities and points listeners to what they can do.

Small principled people make a difference in a time of crisis. Few people have ever heard of a Portuguese diplomat by the name of Susa Mendes, but he made a tremendous difference for thousands of Jews during World War II. Historian Dr. Steve Carol, Ph.D., rejoins the program this weekend before Thanksgiving for a look at the life of this dynamic man.

John’s boralogue reviews the chess moves being made by the new Bush administration and reveals what they will probably mean for the immediate future. He also runs clips documenting that something actually went wrong at that first Thanksgiving dinner.

Where is the Global Workforce Headed?

    2004 - 11.13

Where is the global workforce going? Away from America for sure along with everything else. William Grigg of the “New American” magazine and author of “America’s Engineered Decline,” joins John for an extended conversation about events that lie directly ahead of us, from the Free Trade Area of the Americas to the collapse of economic promises made to Americans to the need for independent education.

John’s boralogue is an alternate obituary for terrorist Yasser Arafat, who never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity and no longer has any opportunities.
