    Down to the Finish Line

    2004 - 10.30

Tired of the campaign speeches? We are too. The important issues facing the country weren’t well defined while supercilious ones were debated ad nauseam. Despite this, John’s boralogue examines significant trends, which did manifest themselves during the campaigns. Bottom line reality: whoever is elected probably won’t matter because the major trends have not changed course for over two decades, regardless of who occupies the White House or Congress.

A number of Catholic dioceses prohibited distribution of a voter’s guide affirming that church’s traditional teachings on abortion, homosexuality, and stem cell research. This outed some of the closet rebels and revealed a long-standing rift, which has plagued mainline denominations in the U.S. for thirty years. Michael Adams from “Culture and Cosmos” in Washington guests.

Then Jerome Corsi, co-author of the controversial book about John Kerry, “Unfit for Command,” joins the show to warn about the emerging “Atomic Islam,” which is also the name of his forthcoming book.

Finally, when politicians claim they’ll retain oversight over the laws they’re passing, we should ignore them, because oversight is virtually unknown in the real world of politics. Angelo Codevilla from the “American Spectator,” looks at the CIA’s track record in this area.

Whatever Happened to the Peace Process?

    2004 - 10.23

While the world’s media have largely focused on Iraq and the elections of late, Yassir Arafat remains holed up in Ramallah, abandoned by the world, having lost credibility even among allies.

Meanwhile the Palestinian people suffer as a result of the Intifada, their economy is in shambles and assassinations of moderate Palestinians who want peace by other palestinian groups is common. So where does the peace process go from here? Clarence Wagner from Bridges for Peace guests from his home in Jerusalem.

John’s boralogue features Mad Mad World clips of the two candidates for president and President Bush’s gaff about the safety of Canadian vaccines. The last segment of our show airs clips of conservative talk show hosts and demonstrates how even conservatives are being taken in by consensus and the lack of critical thinking when it comes to the Patriot Act.

    A Powerful Potpourri

    2004 - 10.16

Too much going on to limit the show to one or two topics. That’s why it’s exciting to be in news work.

Robert Ortung from the Russia Regional Report brings us up to date on current changes inside Russia, especially President Vladimir Putin’s reconsolidation of power back toward Moscow, reminiscent of the days of the Soviet Union.

Then Brian Rushfeld of Canada Family Action Coalition (www.familyaction.org) reports on the Royal Bank of Canada’s coercion of employees to accept its policies on homosexuality as well as the Canadian public’s reaction.

Finally, Larry Pratt from Gunowners of America (www.gunowners.org) is back with a close look at draconian legislation working its way through Congress.

John’s boralogue examines the coming oil crunch even if there is surplus oil available somewhere in the world.  Also included is the persecution of Iraqi Christians and other topics.

Commentary in Segment Five examines the military’s experimentation with laser and EMP weapons along with two identical incidents in Great Britain and the U.S. where airliners were “zapped” by bright laser light within a week of each other.  Rumors in Washington about changes after President Bush’s re-election are also covered
as well as the potential for civil war in Iraq some time this fall.

    So Something Goes Boom!

    2004 - 10.09

So something goes boom in your neighborhood.  What is it exactly you are going to do? We asked former Soviet Army doctor Igor Shafid (www.globalstrategicresources.com) to return and provide listeners with a detailed explanation of how to deal with WMD contamination in your neighborhood, which we really didn’t address
adequately during his visit a few weeks ago.

John’s extended boralogue covers an ongoing series of issues: The surge in the price of oil past $50/barrel, earlier than we predicted. Another red mercury deal on the black market was
scuttled. For something that doesn’t exist a lot of people seem to want it. Finally we examine why a draft will be necessary as the U.S. becomes the world’s policeman, a strategy designed during the
Kennedy administration and revised as it moved forward through the decades; something of which most Americans are unaware.

    What Price Oil?

    2004 - 10.02

Well, the price of oil crashed through $50/barrel this week, nine months ahead of the deadline SOS set earlier in the year to achieve that record level.  The great oil crunch is upon us and $40 a barrel will probably be the new benchmark, despite previous assurances from “experts” that oil would float back into the
thirties.  As part of our ongoing coverage of this issue, we should note that some dissenters maintain the shortage is contrived.
Larry Williams, author of “The Energy Non-Crisis,” (www.survivalcenter.com) joins us for the first part of the program today.

The second part of today’s program features the conclusion of John’s lecture, “Spitting in the face of Christ,” examining the sources of persecution and what Christians must resolve in their minds before it begins.
