    Disinvestment from Israel

    2005 - 12.31

    Happy New Year everyone!

We’re taking some time off these few holiday weekends so today’s program is a pre-record, but hopefully fulfilling as always.

It is clear that many people in Christian churches are uninformed of the history of the Middle East and why we are in the situation we are in today.

Moreover, major campaigns are running through mainline Protestant denominations to disinvest from companies located in Israel, ostensibly to force Israel to take down the security wall, which they claim is a form of apartheid. However, these churches are ignoring the historical reasons for the wall, and are falling victim to a small cadre of people in the Middle East whose agenda is far greater than just removing the wall; the ultimate goal is the destruction of the Jewish state.

Dexter van Zile from the Judeo-Christian Alliance (www.judeo-christianalliance.org) joins us to iron some of the misconceptions arising from this situation.

John’s boralogue looks briefly at important stories which have arisen during the holiday.

    Recognizing Toxic Religion

    2005 - 12.24

    Merry Christmas and Happy Channukah

If religion does not influence politics, then politics will govern religion. Private hospitals are facing increased pressure to conform to secular laws, which violate conscience, such as providing mandatory abortion drugs. In Massachussets Catholic and other private hospitals are in a showdown with the State on moral conscience vs. law, which is spreading to other states and involving more than just abortion. Attorney Jarad Leeland joins us from the Beckett Fund (www.beckettfund.org).

Jesus came to set the captives free but some Christian sects place their members in more bondage than before they were Christians.
How does one recognize a "toxic church" and what is required to extract one’s self from it, especially when a lot of family members are part of it? Even worse, toxic churches will often tell their members this is God’s will for them and if they leave, they will forfeit salvation. Dr. Lebron McBride.

John’s boralogue is an observation on the spirit of the season.

Christmas and the Ark of Hope

    2005 - 12.17

Well it seems like the forces of secularism have revved to new highs this year to remove Christmas from the public square. Even elevator Christmas music is almost strictly secular.

So is this part of a long-term trend to ensure that religion is expunged from public life? Actually the opposite true, even if some secularists don’t realize it. A new world religion is being planned by global luminaries such as Mikhail Gorbachev and Bill Clinton, revolving around the Ark of Hope and the Earth Charter.
Secularism is simply a transitional stage in the process.
Discussion is how to pass the articles of the Earth Charter into law.

Today’s program is a long-term perspective piece and we’re joined by long-term friend Dr. Dennis Cuddy (www.newswithviews.com) to put together the connects.

John’s boralogue takes a brief look at the rising U.S. debt to remind us that we’re still on course for the perfect financial storm.

    You Gotta Hear This

    2005 - 12.10

Today’s program features clips from different events that came down this last week.

First John’s boralogue airs clips from NOAA’s end-of-hurricane press conference with reporters trying to egg scientists to say this year’s violent increase in hurricanes was due to global warming and the scientists stating emphatically it wasn’t.

Then we run clips from the Supreme Court’s oral arguments this week on the case of FAIR vs Rumsfeld, analyzing the difficulty relativist attorneys have in defending their position once the hard questions get asked.

Finally we’ll look at the subject of mind control in America with Steven Jacobson (www.mindcontrolinamerica.com), author of an audio series by the same name.

Surviving the Economic Implosion with Sanity

    2005 - 12.03

Burp. Back from (too much) Thanksgiving.

As the world’s economic situation slowly implodes, governments, creditors and bankers are putting more and more pressure on borrowers and taxpayers. How does one defend one’s self from the increasing pressure? Russ Godsee, author of “The Repossession Survival Guide,” (www.repossession-help.com) guests.

John’s boralogue sums up important news stories which accumulated during Thanksgiving week. Also, in the last segment, John answers a listener’s question as to how we arrived at relativist thinking in the 20th Century.
