Life after Healthcare

Many people hoped the healthcare debate would die down once the bill passed. However, with an economic train wreck roaring towards the country, the socialized medicine controversy will intensify with three major hurdles yet to cross, not least of which is the probability of economic collapse. John devotes much of the program today with course predictions for the next five years en route to a train wreck.

Glen Beck recently got into hot water by attacking the concept of social justice. Social justice means helping the poor, at least to the general public's ears, but socialist wealth transfer to progressives and community organizers. Michael Voris from Real Catholic TV (www.realcatholictv.com) describes the Marxist and Alinskyite origins of the social justice movement inside mainline churches.

Why Johnny College Student is so Dumb

As California slides over the edge into an economic abyss, it's a miniature model of the entire country's destination. How did this most prosperous state arrive at such a wretched condition? Professor John Ellis, professor emeritus at the University of California Santa Cruz, is President of the California Association of Scholars. (www.calscholars.org) He maintains the socialist, multicultural atmosphere on college campuses led to representatives in the state legislature, whose worldviews are totally divorced from reality.

Israel found itself in a hotspot last week, when it approved construction of more homes in Jerusalem. But while the media excoriated Israel as insulting Vice President Joe Biden, they ignored the annual celebration of terrorism in the Palestinian territories.

As the healthcare "slugfest" plowed forward this week, another "slugfest" in Texas over textbook standards had favorable outcomes. American college students are desperately ignorant of the country's history and its political structures. Dr. Richard Brake, Ph.D., (www.americancivicliteracy.org) is part of a new study revealing why.

John's boralogue formulates Stage Two of the Crisis Window 2009- 2012 with pointers towards the economic train wreck of 2014. No matter what happens with healthcare votes, it will be stillborn, because the emerging economic train wreck will scuttle it.

Free Speech for Christians 101

Today's program revolves around the issue of curtailment of free speech and practice of religion.

Great Britain leads the pack regarding enforcement of political correctness in the job and marketplace. Harassment of Christians through hate speech and equality laws is now endemic. Paul Coleman joins us from the Christian Legal Centre (www.christianlegalcentre.com) for a snapshot of ongoing legal cases in that country with a warning that this is coming to the U.S. if this is allowed to continue.

Recently the Geert Wilders hate speech case in the Netherlands was a subject here on the program, but Wilders is an enigmatic person whose proposals many find upsetting. This reflects the dilemma of allowing people to say things you may nevertheless find distasteful. SOS engineer Jack Beukelman appears for a few minutes to see how his relatives in Holland perceive the entire issue of hate speech and Islam.

The show pauses for a few minutes to air clips of a CNN interview with former Hamas terrorist, now Christian Mosab Hassan Yousef, with a focus on how this interview demonstrates the media's conflicted representations of issues regarding Islam, terrorism and religion in general.

Many incursions against the free practice of religion and speech have been enabled because pastors hid safely behind the separation of religion and politics, when they should have been involved in the battle. Professor Francis Beckwith from Baylor University is author of "Politics for Christians - Statecraft as Soulcraft." He says there is no way these two forces can exist without interacting.

John's boralogue comments briefly about the healthcare end game and then traces the history of secularism's efforts to shove religion out of politics and the marketplace of public ideas.

State Governments vs. the Federal Government

While some states are approaching financial Armageddon, many people are looking to state legislatures to force the federal government to get its economic house in order by using the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution. Gary Wood from the Tenth Amendment Center (www.tenthamendmentcenter.com) joins the program.

We have been stumping freedom of speech issues the last few weeks. It's clear that on many campuses the speech of certain groups is allowed while the speech of other groups is suppressed. Gilad Ini from CAMERA (www.israeliapartheidweek.com) joins the program to discuss one such even scheduled for this month.

John's extended boralogue tries to answer some listener requests for timelines on the economic and geopolitical events that are rolling over the horizon during the next 70 months. A big fluke factor in all of this revolves around the probability of predictable, but unscheduled "rogue events.
