John’s boralogue frames the entire program by describing the effects of using a formalize dialectic process in political combat on a variety of issues, such as the “Catholic Conundrum” regarding contraception and gun control, the global warming non-debate, President Obama’s Organizing for Action group, and the Keystone pipeline controversy. Matthew Vadum from Frontpage Magazine (www.frontpagemag.com) is the first guest today providing a foundation of how hardcore progressive activists used dialectic combat tactics during the last half century and how seductive this is.

Then John reviews the latest science about global warming, which is shifting away from alarmism. Recent facts, most of the media have spiked, show rates of global warming have subsided over the last decade and will continue to do so until at least 2020. Plus, the scary predictions of the 1990s alarmists have failed to materialize. The atmosphere doesn’t seem to be affected by CO2 emissions as the IPCC claimed and now the scary predictions are being moved to 2050. It’s wise to remember that the ozone hole scare wasn’t cured, even though we poured millions into eliminating CFCs. But the political side, still engaged in dialectical battle, refuses to notice this, because too many organizations have huge monies invested in the alarmism.

Then we’ll extract objections to the Keystone pipeline from that same battle. A chief objection is that it’s going to drastically increase global warming. But one way or another, as Canadian producers have indicated, the oil byproducts are going into the atmosphere, either here, on the global market, or in China.
