A year into President Trump’s tenure, there are accomplishments to be found amidst the media falderal. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the economic anemia of President Obama’s eight years compared to the boom we have seen since Donald Trump took office. There are many accomplishments for our current president and, despite the leftwing media handwringing, some of those successes are hard to miss.

FISA database violations, meetings with sketchy Russians, an unverified dossier, illegal surveillance. With information coming to light every day of the plot to destroy Donald Trump, how do we make sense of it all? John and producer Steve go behind the scenes with how the Obama administration stretched, and perhaps broke, the law to spy on Donald Trump. Could this be what’s included in the new explosive House Intelligence memo?

After a brief examination of President Trump’s comments on the Palestinians from Davos, Switzerland, we welcome to the program Thomas Lifson (www.americanthinker.com), Editor and Founder of American Thinker, who discusses the four stages of Trump Derangement Syndrome and shows how censorship online and media bias seem to be the leading symptoms.

John’s quote of the week:
What’s important to recognize is that you have a businessman and not a politician cleaning things up so the economy can function again. He spent quite a bit of time in his first year undoing the tangled mess that Mr. Obama created in regulations and executive orders. So while the media are focused on touchy feely things such as identity politics, there really is a major rework underway.

In this week’s Section 6, John discusses President Trump’s foreign policy as well as his negotiation skills, the case of a Spokane firefighter who was terminated for expressing his Christian beliefs, and the criteria that make up fake news. In addition, we play John’s appearance this week on KYMS radio talking about Christian persecution, multiculturalism, the Middle East, and current events.

Iran So Far Away

Comments from a closed door meeting were all the rage in the news this week. But is it really important? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the underlying issues inside of – shall we say – outhouse countries and the importance of assimilation for those who immigrate here. Why are the media spending so much time dissecting comments and ignoring the real issue of what’s happening in these countries?

In our clip of the week, Dr. Ze’ev Maghen, Chair of Middle Eastern History at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, speaks about the Iran protest as well as Sunnis and Shias in Iran and the Muslim world.

Since the media won’t cover the Iranian protests, we’ll talk with someone who will. Ken Timmerman (www.iran.org), President and CEO of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran joins us to discuss how these protests are different from those in 1979 and 2009 and why the powers that be in the West seem to favor the regime.

Did conservative social media sites have an impact on the 2016 election? John Hawkins (www.rightwingnews.com), head of Right Wing News online, believes they did and now the social media giants are doing all they can to ban or otherwise impede the free speech and outreach of conservative accounts and pages.

Jesus said that Christians would not be popular with culture, but progressives within the church are trying to move Christian thought toward popularity. Author and retired cold-case homicide detective J. Warner Wallace (www.casemakersacademy.com) advocates for stronger teaching of traditional Biblical principles and preparing our youth to defend their faith in secular society and in the church.

Finally, John takes a look at the history of fake news and how we arrived at the somewhat dysfunctional mainstream press we have today. There is a war on freedom of speech and we are all – media and consumers alike – fighters in that war.

John’s quote of the week:
Your religious worldview base will establish your ethics and your morals, which establishes what you view in terms of law, in terms of economics, and in terms of society. You can’t separate these things out – they are all one.

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at globalist history and the tactics they use, which explains their hatred toward Donald Trump who fights against them. He goes on to discuss the change in global temperatures away from heating and how the alarmists are pushing us in the wrong direction. Minority unemployment is down – how much of that is attributable to the President? Finally, John examines Christian persecution and no-go zones in Sweden.

How do we know that the information we glean from the internet or hear from the media is actually true? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at language and how it can be manipulated to fit a narrative, examining the historical and Biblical evidence of how language is used. Things we had been told before have now flip-flopped to their opposites. As hypocrisy abounds, the ultimate battle will be over the truth.

Understanding how and on what values our country was founded is paramount in correctly interpreting our history. Jake MacAulay (www.theamericanview.com), Chief Executive Officer of the Institution on the Constitution, details the rights afforded us under both the Declaration and the Constitution, the source of those rights, and the need better education our youth to their importance.

When did education shift from a traditional curriculum to a more progressive one? Steve Abrams (www.cottonwoodanimalclinic.com), former member of the Kansas State Board of Education, discusses how education has changed over the years and offers solutions on how to think outside the progressive box and reach children with the truth.

John finishes up the program this week dissecting an audio clip from a disciplinary hearing on a Canadian college campus. A student was told she violated the human rights of her fellow classmates, but in the end, it was her rights that were trampled on.

John’s quote of the week:
In order to run socialism, you have to tax heavily and inflate heavily and this always comes to financial, economic, sociological, and especially moral bankruptcy as it all unravels.

In this week’s Section 6, John gives a lesson in how to argue with someone logically point by point. Then, he reads a letter from a law professor to his students on how to think without political correctness. He also discusses Trump’s tactics in dealing with his opponents. Lastly, John reviews many of the climate change narrative problems amidst the current cold snap.

The Real Truth is Out There

Freedom of speech is paramount in a free society but it is being threatened on several fronts. How did we get here? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at our journey from a free society under God to the rise of existentialism to postmodernism to our current struggle with multiculturalism. Reality is catching up with the contradictions of the elites which means they will push their ideologies that much harder. Will we stand up and push back?

Are aliens and UFOs real and if so, what exactly are they? Gary Bates (www.alienintrusion.com), CEO at the U.S. office of Creation Ministries, promotes his new movie, Alien Intrusion, and discusses both the scientific and religious explanations of UFOs as well as the troubling admission recently by the government that there is in fact something to see here.

What are the roots of multiculturalism and how far have they burrowed into western society? Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Anthropology Professor at McGill University, gives examples of multiculturalism in the West and shows how, despite its very contradictory nature, it influences many aspects of society.

John’s quote of the week:
As soon as you begin looking at the constructs and assumptions of multiculturalism, you discover that most of them are self-contradicting – such as, ‘we believe in diversity, unless you’re not diverse like we’re diverse’ or ‘we believe in freedom of speech, but not the kind of speech you want to have,’ or ‘we believe in being tolerant, but we’re not tolerant of people who don’t agree with our idea of what tolerance should be.‘”

In this week’s Section 6 intelligence brief, we give an update on Kelvin Cochran’s ongoing freedom of speech and religion case. Next, we turn to an analysis of Israel, the UN, and President Trump’s Jerusalem declaration. Then, John gives a timely update on the Middle East chessboard. And finally, what is the strain on the power grid during this winter’s cold spell?
