Happy Easter. Christ is risen! We are skipping the boralogue this holiday week and jumping straight into our first guest. Author and political analyst Dr. Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) joins us to discuss whether or not progressive ideas are failing and what, based on historical cycles, American voters are looking for.

The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution states in part that private property shall not be taken for public use without just compensation. Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, reviews one of her cases from Pennsylvania and another from Michigan and shows how civil asset forfeiture is being creatively used to foreclose on homeowners.

Are communist ideals already established in this country? Joel McDurmon (www.americanvision.org), President of American Vision, examines how Communist Manifesto policies are popping up throughout our society. The need for education is paramount in order to know what our freedoms are and recognize how to get them back.

John’s quote of the week:
When a failing worldview is challenged, they don’t repent – they double down and commit more of the error that they committed before. This of course accentuates the dive into the ground.

Section 6 is taking a break this week for the Easter holiday but we will return next week for more geopolitical news.

What happens when you mesh motives and methodology together? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how inseparable both the desire to stop more shootings and the need for more gun control laws have become. During the national walkout, some students were punished and others ostracized if they refused to participate in what amounted to a gun control rally. Advocates of gun control are ironically holding up the first amendment in order to tear down the second.

Where can we find the real collusion story? Mary Fanning (www.theamericanreport.org), Investigator for the American Report and the Center for Security Policy, reports on the details of a plan to store a secret cache of weapons at a port in Florida that involves Pakistan, Russia, and the Obama administration. The media’s spotlight is definitely pointed elsewhere on this story.

The media spotlight has also turned away from non-leftist issues happening in South Africa. Dr. Johan Burger (www.issafrica.org), Senior Research Consultant with the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria, examines the rise in crime in South Africa, especially against white farmers who are being targeted for supposed links to apartheid.

Free speech on campuses is becoming more endangered every week. Steve Amundson (www.counterjihadcoalition.org), Founder of the Counter Jihad Coalition, describes how he was kicked out of a seminar about Islam because the moderators did not like certain questions being asked. Free speech protections and hate speech regulations are coming to a head in the near future. Let’s hope freedom wins.

John’s quote of the week:
When two ideas are fused together, it becomes very difficult socially to agree with one and disagree with the other without incurring social stigmatization, because in the public mind – as they’re presented by the propagandists – they are seen as one and the same.

In this week’s Section 6, we play for you an interview John gave on the podcast Stand Up For the Truth with Mike LeMay on March 13. Topics discussed include Donald Trump’s strategies, Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” attacks on freedom of speech, Europe’s cultural decline, and the Left’s outright bitterness toward President Trump.

Absolutely Relative

180011 03/17/2018 Absolutely Relative

What news from the Middle East? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and the rumors emerging as to what it might contain. How is Saudi Arabia involved? Will Mahmoud Abbas be happy? If these reports are true, he won’t be. Lesson to learn: when you refuse to participate in a process, you may end up with whatever you’re given. We’ll have to wait and see.

The transition from a Christian moral base to a far left progressive elitist state is trudging along, almost unabated. Philosophy professor and writer Jack Kerwick (www.frontpagemag.com) joins us to discuss the slow deterioration of the West, relative truth made absolute and absolute truth relativized, and the need to fight back against progressivism.

Appeasement has been a favorite tactic by leaders in the West toward brutal dictators. Chamberlain did it with Hitler; the Obama administration did it with Iran. Daniel Krygier (www.worldisraelnews.com), writer and political analyst for World Israel News, highlights the differences between one year of President Trump and eight years of the previous administration. Can our current president succeed in negotiations without appeasement?

Iran has established proxies throughout the Middle East but now there tentacles have reached the Americas. Joseph Humire (www.securefreesociety.org), Executive Director of the Center for a Secure Free Society examines Iran’s influence in Venezuela and calls on America to focus more of its foreign policy south of our borders.

Americans’ rights should be protected, especially during court cases. Christopher Holton (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Outreach at the Center for Security Policy, describes the American Laws for American Courts, a policy that would shelter U.S. citizens in court from foreign laws and doctrines, such as sharia. Unsurprisingly, the usual antagonists are coming out against this.

John’s quote of the week:
Postmodernism is very relativistic and exists on a self-contradicting platform. However, while they are professing relativism, in reality underneath that platform they have absolutes which are undeclared.

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the things we put our hope in and predictions for the future that haven’t panned out – like most from the climate change crowd. He goes on to cover politically correct orthodoxy, social justice warriors, and new technology that can make you say things you never have and never would.

Salvaging Existing Freedoms

The truth is the truth, but if you have your truth and I have mine, what happens when those truths collide? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the need in our society for an absolute truth anchor point upon which you can base your ideals and worldviews. Those that believe in relative truth will also believe absolutely that someone else’s truth is false when confronted with it. This explains why society is so divided today – there is no anchor.

Europe’s traditional culture is slowly eroding away and those in power are doing nothing to stop it. UK media personality and columnist Katie Hopkins (www.hopkinsworld.com) examines the influx of migrants who are refusing to assimilate to their new country’s values and customs and how some are now pushing back, fighting to salvage their disappearing freedoms.

John plays a clip from David McAlvany on the upcoming trouble in the financial markets. Then John and Producer Steve play a rousing clip on political civility from Virginia congressman Nick Freitas and look at the illogical responses to it.

Freedom of speech is one that the Constitution guarantees, but some college students aren’t experiencing that. Nicole Neily (www.speechfirst.org), President of Speech First, describes how her new organization is advocating for students whose rights are being violated and warns those in power that students are waking up and are no longer willing to take it.

John’s quote of the week:
What guarantees freedom in keeping government under control? The first one is the First Amendment. That’s where we’re guaranteed the freedom of speech and of religion and of the press. Vibrant attestations to what is going on and truth are essential to keeping scoundrels from getting away with your government. The Founding Fathers understood that – you had to be able to speak.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve continue their discussion of Nicholas Freitas’s speech and the reaction to it. John then goes on to cover the impending Trump-Kim meeting, the collision of worldviews and religions in Europe, and the stubborn doubling down on failing ideas by progressives. He finishes up with the consolidation of power in China and the free flow of global information in the future.
