It’s relativism versus reality and as always, reality is winning. In this week’s abbreviated boralogue, John looks at the failure of relativistic laws to hold up in the face of real life, using Seattle’s decision to repeal a head tax they had just enacted a month prior after several businesses suggested that perhaps they may skip town and take their money with them.

Policies that go against the beliefs of people, though wildly unpopular, are being enacted in Canada. Natasha Fernandes (www.physiciansforlife.ca), Board Member for Canadian Physicians for Life describes how doctors in Ontario will have to refer patients to abortion or euthanasia services, even if it violates the doctor’s beliefs.

Does the populist victory in recent Italian elections indicate the formation of cracks in the globalist economy? Dave McAlvany (www.mcalvany.com), host of the McAlvany Weekly Commentary discusses the state of the EU financial markets, the future of the global economy, and the raising of interest rates in the United States.

John and Producer Steve look at President Trump and his plans in the Middle East and his relationship with both Benjamin Netanyahu and Justin Trudeau.

We finish the show with financial analyst and AI blogger Cris Sheridan (aiantichrist.blogspot.com) who gives an update on the progress of artificial intelligence, including the ability to perfectly mimic someone’s voice to say whatever you want them to say.

John’s quote of the week:
People with constantly changing, oftentimes self-contradicting morals, are trying to dictate to people by law, with firm constant morals, that they shouldn’t have firm morals when their relative morals go against them.

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at failing policies that garner pushback from the people but harsher policies from government. He goes on to speak about yet another meaningless UN resolution against Israel, Catholic Church policies on immigration, ultra-PC opinions from leftist professors, and thinking for yourself when you see misleading news articles.

We seem to be jumping from one controversy to another in this country and its being led by far leftist activists. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at Alinsky tactics and how protesting now is the same as during the Vietnam War, when activists tried to convince us that the U.S. was a no-good, imperialist, colonialist, racist nation. The current NFL controversy encapsulates this.

Plus the clip of the week features former Secretary of Education William Bennett explaining how the deterioration of education has led to the mindset of protesters today.

With heated rhetoric on the rise and advancing terror tactics, safeguarding the President is more important than ever. Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino (www.conservativereview.com) joins us to talk about his new book, “Protecting the President,” sharing with us how Secret Service management is slow to adapt to emerging threats.

Financial Analyst and AI blogger Cris Sheridan (aiantichrist.blogspot.com) returns this week to discuss evidence from Scripture that the perfect candidate for the Antichrist may be artificial intelligence.

The outrage of the week stems from an op-ed where two authors advocated for traditional values. Heather MacDonald (www.manhattan-institute.org), Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, describes the progressive hot water two law professors find themselves in after advocating for hard work, faithful marriage, and respect for authority.

To round out the show this week, John and Steel Producer Steve Schiller talk about assumptions made by the media and the Left that lead to anti-Trump narratives, the NFL controversy, and the strategy President Trump uses in exposing the Left.

John’s quote of the week:
In this time, it is very important to keep talking about the truth, to teach people how to think about the issues logically and rationally, and then to know how to handle people who fly off the handle because they simply have no way of logically, in a mature method, dealing with these issues. We have so many people running around today who are children in adult bodies.

Coming up in our Section 6 Intelligence Brief: A look at president Trump’s North Korea policy, Betsy Devos brings back due process, a lesson on keeping free speech from being destroyed, what happens when the Catholic church goes off the rails, and audio from a 1989 speech by Dr. Shirley McCune on new age education.

A Spokane, Washington area school suffered a school shooting recently where one student died and a few were injured. In this week’s boralogue, we play comments from Spokane County Sheriff, Ozzie Knezovich, about how society has grown to glorify violence. John digs deeper and looks at the erosion of morals in education that has contributed to society’s embrace of violence. Plus, a hearty thank you for your overwhelmingly generous support of Pastor X.

We shine a spotlight on Iran this week as President Trump is looking to scrap the ill-conceived Iran Deal. Bob Feferman (www.UnitedAgainstNuclearIran.com), Outreach Coordinator with the group United Against Nuclear Iran examines Iran’s government system, its plan to export Islamic revolution, and the country’s nuclear program.

The outrage du jour against anyone not adhering to political correctness happened in Oregon recently. Andy Ngo (www.pdx.edu), Political Science graduate student at Portland State University, discusses the anger on his campus after a professor dared to write a peer-reviewed paper making the case for colonialism.

A massive data breach at Equifax, one of three credit rating bureaus, has exposed the private information of millions of people. Daniel Castro (www.itif.org), Vice President at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, looks at the breach and suggests that we should do away with social security numbers as personal identifiers.

The field of artificial Intelligence can be either exciting or frightening, depending on the news of the day. Cris Sheridan (aiantichrist.blogspot.com), Financial Analyst and AI blogger, reviews the background of AI, advances made in the field, and how surveillance using AI could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

John’s quote of the week:
Both Democrats and Republicans used to have a common view not only of the common morality, but also the legal systems that reflected that morality, and a common idea of the value of the history of this country. But that would all change.

This week on Section 6 we do a follow-up to our interview with Andy Ngo from Portland State, then dive into national anthem protests and other liberal contradictions. Next, evil always rides in on the back of a white horse (healthcare, internet censorship, etc) we discuss the implications of such programs and where the always end up. Lastly, the differences in German political parties ahead of the upcoming elections, and round out the section with the goings-on of the actors on the Middle East stage.

John starts the show by asking what we’ve learned from Hurricane Sandy. The answer is a resounding nothing. Dr. Paul Williams, MD, (www.whenallplansfail.com) returns to SOS for an I-told-you-so moment as to why SOS listeners must be thinking about emergency preparedness.

One of the surprising failures during Sandy was the New York Stock Market trading system, which was supposed to have a contingency plan following 9/11 in order to allow continued market operations despite disasters. So what happened and how does this connect to markets which are increasingly controlled by highly sophisticated computer programming instead of humans? Cris Sheridan returns to the program.

Then we’ll take up the case of army Lieutenant Col. Matthew Dooley, who received a negative Officer Evaluation Review for teaching a college class on radical Islam, which was offensive to Islam and Muslims. Richard Thompson from the Thomas More Law Center (www.thomasmore.org) guests. This case will be pivotal in free speech issues for the future.

John closes the show with a news report from Nigeria where Muslims systematically murdered over 40 Christian college students during the month of October.
