What can we learn from the heavy and at times crazy news cycle this week? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the media’s hypocrisy and manipulation of news stories to fashion a narrative, using the immigration housing policy as an example. The media, through their bias, have become unreliable sources of information and water carriers for leftist ideologies.

What happens when Alinskyites have their own tactics used against them? Answer: they don’t know what to do. Brian Joondeph (www.retinacolorado.com), Partner and Retina Surgeon at Colorado Retina Associates, gives examples of and discusses how President Trump is using these tactics against the media and the democrats and they have no idea how to handle it.

The Inspector General’s report has been released and several instances of bias were revealed within the FBI and DOJ. Sidney Powell (www.sidneypowell.com), attorney and expert in federal appeals, analyzes the report, the implications, and the possible future of anti-Trump, pro-Clinton agents and lawyers. Will heads roll?

John and Producer Steve close out the show this week discussing hypocrisy in the media and government and ask the question: is it all political jockeying and narrative confirmation at all cost, or can we have a serious discussion about solutions to our problems?

John’s quote of the week:
It’s the media’s job to establish a continuity trail and to detect contradictions in policies and what people said two years ago versus now. The media, however, are now part of the political shell game rather than acting as careful observers of it.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss Daniel Greenfield’s article about 5 rules President Trump uses to rule the world and how those rules are applied in handling Middle East issues. They also touch on hypocrisy in the media and in government.

What can we learn from tragedies like the Florida shooting? The media will always play the same old gun control script, for one. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the arguments made by gun control advocates and points out their logical fallacies. Doing the same failing thing each time won’t work. We need to change the moral foundation of society, not do away with guns.

In the wake of the FISA scandal as well as the missed red flags in Florida, what is happening to our intelligence community? Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Research at the Center for Security Policy – and a former CIA agent – discusses the lack of proper training within intelligence agencies and the willful blindness due to a PC worldview.

Can an American town enact an ordinance that stifles religious freedom? Mike LeMay (www.standupforthetruth.com), General Manager of Q90 FM radio near Green Bay, recounts how the city of De Pere, Wisconsin has done just that, potentially requiring churches to engage in practices against their religious beliefs. He and others are filing a lawsuit to stop it.

We welcome Paul Van Noy (www.candlelight.org), Pastor at Candlelight Fellowship in northern Idaho, who recounts his trip to Thailand to visit Pastor X, touring the immigration detention centers, and seeing firsthand how donation moneys are being spent.

After analyzing comments from economist Lawrence Kotlikoff, who discusses the reality of social spending debt and offers a possible solution to the problem, John chats with Dr. Myles Schneider (www.mylesofhealth.com), a foot and ankle doctor in Virginia, about alternatives to Obamacare popping up in some states and healthy solutions to lower costs.

John’s quote of the week:
“Foolish people double down on bad arguments and they implement double the number of bad ideas in law, which of course do nothing to make future situations safer and oftentimes make them worse while tangling other people up in the law of unintended consequences. This is called putting lipstick on a pig.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the lead up to the school shooting in Florida. John then goes on to look at news from the Middle East including the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran and Syria on the other. Some schools in the Middle East are teaching students to hate and become martyrs. John asks the hard questions no one else seems to want to pose.

Middle East peace talks begin this weekend in Paris while neither Israel nor any Palestinian group has been invited. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the history of the term Palestinian, who actually occupied the West Bank and Gaza before 1967, and the most likely outcome of the talks: a plan for a two-state solution. How will this affect the area’s future?

A bill was recently signed into law that would establish a government office to disseminate U.S. foreign policy and to combat fake news. In other words, we may soon have an official Ministry of Truth. We welcome back Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), Correspondent for The New American, who points out that certain journalists could be labeled as illegitimate just for disagreeing with the government.

As we air our final show of the Obama administration era, we are taking a look at the president’s legacy. Fox News Strategic Analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (www.foxnews.com) examines the weakened status and poor morale in our military and what Trump can do to improve it. He also analyzes foreign policy issues concerning Russia, China, and Iran.

President Obama has touted his legacy as positive in nearly every respect, however the truth lies far below that. Jeffery Tucker (www.fee.org), Director of Content for the Foundation for Economic Education discusses the president’s poor handling of the economy, including implementing both Obamacare and oppressive business regulations.

Leftists have been operating from the Alinsky playbook for decades, but now President-elect Trump is using those same methods against them. Dr. Tome Borelli (www.conservativereview.com), Contributor at Conservative Review contrasts how Trump is using companies to lobby for tax reform versus how Obama used drug companies to lobby for Obamacare and bigger government.

John’s quote of the week:
“I’m sure people would like to see peace in the Middle East but you have to ask on what terms and at what cost. Given the current biases present in the United Nations against Israel, those are very sobering questions.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
