Are we seeing a double standard regarding refugee policies in Europe? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the case of Asia Bibi, who has been denied asylum in the UK due to fears of violent protests. Those who would protest, however, are the very same ones who are protected and against whom no one is allowed to speak. We can learn from Europe’s dysfunction, but only if we are willing.

There is quite a difference in the perception of law enforcement between 2008 and today. Eric Reade (www.ccs.spokane.edu), former Officer in Charge of the Threat Assessment Unit for the Los Angeles Police Department, discusses the rise in violence against police officers in the last 10 years and stresses the importance of looking at facts, not rhetoric, when it comes to Black Lives Matter and the previous administration.

Now that the dust has settled – somewhat – from the midterms, we welcome back author and political forecaster Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) who reviews his midterm predictions and examines the irregularities in Florida’s recount ballot counting.

John and Producer Steve follow up on Mr. Lameiro’s interview looking at the possible strategies behind the Democrat recounts in Florida, which could be related to the Senate’s upcoming slew of conservative judicial appointments.

John’s quote of the week:
“In any situation you have to ask, ‘did this happen,’ ‘were rights violated,’ and ‘how do we deal with that?’ It has to be on a level playing field. Once you distort that going one way or the other, we don’t really have equal rights and we’ll never get there. It isn’t a matter of race; it’s a matter of humanity.”

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the California wildfires, Brexit mania in Europe, globalism vs sovereignty, and the reason for the visceral reactions to Brexit and President Trump. And it wouldn’t be the episode before Thanksgiving without John giving you his famous cranberry sauce recipe.

Loeffler’s Famous Cranberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries.
  • 2 cups brown sugar.
  • 1 cup apricot brandy.

Add all ingredients to a saucepan on medium to high heat and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, leave uncovered. Stir occasionally and let simmer until it reaches the desired thickness and the cranberries are fully cooked (about 1 hr. on very low heat). Makes 6 to 10 servings. Serve it hot or chilled.

From our family to yours; we hope you enjoy this special treat this Thanksgiving!

The presidential debates are mercifully over. Voters are disconnected from important issues because candidates seldom talk about it and the media rarely covers it. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at things to come from America’s slow decline from superpower status to the house of cards called the global economy. We are sliding toward a day of reckoning, but take heed. Countries, currencies, and candidates may come and go, but God never changes.

Black Lives Matter claims that police are corrupt and racist, though much of their narrative has been refuted. We explore the flip side this week with John Whitehead (www.rutherford.org), President and Founder of the Rutherford Institute, who analyzes alleged abuses of power within police departments – including forfeiture and structuring laws – and advocates for better training to resolve potentially deadly situations.

Are we witnessing the demise of national sovereignty? Conservative writer Christopher Chantrill (www.usgovernmentspending.com) examines George Soros’s plans, why drives to push utopian societies never seem to succeed, and the rise of nationalist candidates.

Finally we welcome retired safety consultant Don Bradway, who joins John in the studio to discuss his time in northern Idaho and his recent interview with the Washington Post regarding redoubts, the untrue stereotypes of preppers, and his advocacy of preparedness for a national emergency.

John’s quote of the week:
“There was a time when the electorate was much more educated but no longer so. Most are victims of the perpetual current of Kool-Aid gushed by non-stop punditry for the purposes of steering people toward political outcomes.”

Campaigning for his wife this week, Bill Clinton seemed to disparage Obamacare. Was it a faux pas or a deliberate move? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the lies surrounding Obamacare and reminds us that the goal from the beginning was to establish a government-run single payer health care system. Politicians will once again offer to solve the problem that they caused in the first place.

Why would Black Lives Matter align with anti-Semitic groups, or LGBT associations defend the actions of Muslims? Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Professor at McGill University in Quebec, Canada, discusses intersectionality among “oppressed” groups, multiculturalism versus dissent, and Marxism in academia.

The reality behind taxes, the economy and job numbers is far different than what you’re hearing from either presidential candidate during the debates. David McAlvany (www.mcalvany.com), President and CEO of McAlvany Financial Group, reveals the truth and shows that what you are seeing in the stock market today is nothing but an illusion.

John’s quote of the week:
“Politicians will tell you they feel your pain even when it is they who are causing much of your pain by the rotten policies they’ve implemented. They will say, ‘don’t you care about the poor,’ but it’s the poor who get beaten up the worst when everything is done.”

A controversy is brewing involving an international Christian charity’s activities in the Middle East. We skip the boralogue this week and begin with Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA, who examines Israel’s allegations that a top World Vision employee in the Gaza Strip funneled donations away from charity programs and into the coffers of Hamas.

When the Iran deal materialized last year, we all knew there was more to it than was announced. Jennifer Breedon (www.clarionproject.org), Legal Analyst for the Clarion Project joins us to reveal the dangers behind the deal along with a recently discovered link between the September 11 attacks and Saudi Arabia.

What are the true origins behind the Black Lives Matter movement? Political writer Jim Simpson (www.aim.org) shows how the Left will create divisions in order to further their agenda and how the truth is often pushed aside in favor of narrative.

Has the federal government’s involvement improved our education system? Vicki Alger (www.vickialger.com), Research Fellow at the Independent Institute discusses the difficulties in one-size-fits-all educational programs and offers alternative solutions for parents.

John’s quote of the week:
“Rather than having two people representing different sides of an issue, challenging each other where you can hear the ideas hashed out, people tend to watch what reinforces their own worldview. And even when that is faulty they don’t hear the contradicting evidence because the media are not honestly presenting it.”
