As the San Bernardino shooting played out, President Obama told the nation our intelligence agencies were on the ball. In this week’s boralogue, John takes a look at what we’ve learned from this tragedy and why progressive narratives like the President’s are not sustainable. Gun control isn’t the answer, political incorrectness could have played a part in preventing the shooting, and we should identify the problem for what it is – Islamic terrorism. The true progressive elites, though, didn’t seem to learn anything. Did we really expect them to?

In an effort to better understand tragedies like San Bernardino, leaders from different faiths are coming together. But beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing at the Interfaith Movement. Stephen Coughlin (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Senior Fellow at the Center for Security Policy, shows how groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda are co-opting Christian and Jewish organizations, using change agents to neutralize and ridicule anyone who opposes them. Will church leaders recognize the con or will they abandoning their beliefs?

If you find yourself in an active shooter situation, would you know what to do? Jim Sporleder (www.cpps.com), Senior Advisor with the Center for Personal Protection, reveals a list of steps that includes pushing past the disbelief and responding intelligently to what’s happening. John’s quote of the week:
Progressive elites always try to tell us that we need more of what didn’t work before in order to make it not work again.
