Moving the Goalposts

The country and especially the media have been in quite the frenzy this past week. In this week’s boralogue, John goes back to the predictions he made about the media after the 2016 election and shows how we are reliving those moments now. There is a shock post-Mueller report but John predicts that the media will continue to behave as it has moving forward.

Far-left liberals are pushing many issues that go against America’s founding documents. Constitutional law attorney Jenna Ellis (www.washingtonexaminer.com) joins us to discuss the merits of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact as well as packing the Supreme Court. Liberals keep moving the goalposts, slowly building popularity among their narratives.

One-worlders are at it again, this time using climate to further their cause. Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), Foreign Correspondent for The New American, examines the UN’s push for global governance as well as push-back from many scientists, along with President Trump, who are taking on the climate alarmists.

A few states are foreclosing on property owners who owe back taxes and keeping the proceeds from the sale. Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation describes how one of her clients lost his home to this practice and compares it to the problems with civil asset forfeiture.

John finishes up this week reading a century-old poem by Rudyard Kipling that mentions empty promises, like those of modern day socialists, will never pan out because at some point, reality becomes real and the fantasy is just that: a fantasy.

John’s quote of the week:
What we have been told repeatedly is the need for the radical transformation of America. ‘What does that mean?’ is the first thing you have to ask. You have to learn how to read what they’re telling you – then you’ll know where you’re going. And with radical transformation, it’s a socialist, idealized government where we have equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview John gave this week on Stand Up For The Truth on Q90FM Radio from Wisconsin where he discusses, among other things, the Marxist tactics of the Left as well as various aspects concerning the Christian Church.

What are the massive gorillas in the room that no one is talking about? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the murder of Jamal Khashoggi as well as the caravan marching north through Mexico. There are narratives in those stories and others that are drowning out the truth. When truth becomes a casualty and we can’t discuss what’s really going on, the freedoms of America that so many are marching toward may soon diminish.

Is it possible to have a real, fact-based conversation about climate and carbon taxes? Climate alarmists don’t want to talk about it, but we will. Dr. Tim Ball (www.drtimball.com), Chief Science Advisor at the International Climate Science Coalition, joins us to discuss how most climate data isn’t measured correctly and how carbon taxes will not achieve the goals set by their proponents.

Should property owners have a right to defend themselves in court against government agencies? Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, describes how one of her clients was denied access to federal court after a state agency declared part of her property open to the public.

Is there a link between organ donation and euthanasia? Wesley Smith (www.discovery.org), Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute, shows how doctors in other countries are removing viable organs from live patients for harvesting and how many medical professionals are now given the choice between administering euthanasia to a patient they are there to heal or losing their medical license.

John’s quote of the week:
“Do you really think we’ve had a fair climate change debate – the debate that Al Gore declared closed? No, it’s never been held. And in those few cases where small localized debates have been held, the climate alarmists are losing.”

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve comment on listener emails and discuss the Jamal Khashoggi murder and cover up, President Trump’s modus operandi when it comes to treaties and accords, and Steve briefly tries on a tin foil hat while speculating on the spate of suspicious packages sent to left-leaning politicians (and CNN) this week.

Happy Easter. Christ is risen! We are skipping the boralogue this holiday week and jumping straight into our first guest. Author and political analyst Dr. Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) joins us to discuss whether or not progressive ideas are failing and what, based on historical cycles, American voters are looking for.

The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution states in part that private property shall not be taken for public use without just compensation. Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, reviews one of her cases from Pennsylvania and another from Michigan and shows how civil asset forfeiture is being creatively used to foreclose on homeowners.

Are communist ideals already established in this country? Joel McDurmon (www.americanvision.org), President of American Vision, examines how Communist Manifesto policies are popping up throughout our society. The need for education is paramount in order to know what our freedoms are and recognize how to get them back.

John’s quote of the week:
When a failing worldview is challenged, they don’t repent – they double down and commit more of the error that they committed before. This of course accentuates the dive into the ground.

Section 6 is taking a break this week for the Easter holiday but we will return next week for more geopolitical news.

Charlie Gard, the British newborn boy with a rare brain disease passed away this week, but his death may not be in vain. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at socialized medicine, death panels, and bureaucracies, and points out that the patient is always the last to be considered. Free health care isn’t free and little Charlie’s death has reminded us of that.

Also John dissects Fareed Zakaria’s comments about Trump voters in our brand new clip of the week.

Climate data from NASA and the IPCC have not been collected properly, which has led to many untrue predictions. Environmentalist and author Tim Ball (www.drtimball.com) shares his experience fighting against climate inaccuracies, demanding that evidence be produced to back up alarmists’ claims.

Property rights are important in a free society. Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, discusses one of her cases involving a church in Michigan that lost their property to the state and how taking away property rights brings us one step closer to losing our free country.

Did Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook just agree to adhere to Pakistan’s blasphemy laws online? Author and lecturer Meira Svirsky (www.clarionproject.org) joins us to examine political correctness on the internet, hierarchies among victim classes, and the need to strongly enforce free speech laws here and around the world.

John’s quote of the week:
“Normally socialized healthcare flows this way: the government gets first say, the healthcare insurers and payers get second say, then the healthcare providers whose jobs depend on the government payer system get third say, and that’s pretty much it. Oh, did we forget? I’m sorry! You’re the patient, aren’t you? Well, you’re down at the bottom of the totem pole.”

This week on our Section 6 Intelligence Brief, John discusses the upcoming solar eclipse, the fascinating historical significance of the Jewish observance of Tisha B’Av, currency & inflation, and the growing problem of socialized medicine.
