We are divided on this earth and we fight each other over a myriad of issues every day. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the battles being waged not only in the physical world but also in the spiritual realm. We can wear our armor and use our weapons but it is ultimately God and His love that saves us. And we are to use the love He gives us to pray for and bless those who oppose us in our earthly battles.

Who determines what fake news is and what is real? Christian Robey (www.newsbusters.org/fact-checkers), Political Director at the Media Research Center, joins us to discuss censorship in the form of biased fact-checkers and the battle between the mainstream and independent media. Who is fact checking the fact checkers?

There is a backlash in Europe over the anti-freedom tactics from Brussels. We welcome back award winning journalist and writer Christine Douglass-Williams (www.jihadwatch.org) who points out that the EU is getting nervous about the backlash and is using the terms “fake news” and “hate speech” to shut down the free flow of ideas in order to keep a hold on their power.

Marxist groups who want to shut down speeches or conferences badger venues until the event is cancelled – it’s called the heckler’s veto. Shahram Hadian (www.tilproject.com), Founder of the Truth in Love Project, describes how his event was canceled in Minnesota due to the heckler’s veto and how he is fighting back against this violation of freedom of speech.

John’s quote of the week:
You have two groups of people starting from different worldview assumptions, using different processes of thinking to arrive at many different conclusions and thinking the other side is probably evil incarnate and almost incapable of communicating with each other because we don’t have much common ground. There’s only one area where you can hit this common ground and that is in the area of Christianity.

In this week’s Section 6, John waxes nostalgic about the way it was in radio broadcasting back in his day and compares it with newscasting in today’s world. He then discusses the battle between federal versus state laws, the impact of the raid on the office of President Trump’s personal attorney, and several stories that represent a larger agenda being enacted.

Do we have a constitutional crisis on our hands after the release of the Republican memo? We push aside the boralogue this week and dive right in with constitutional law attorney Jenna Ellis (www.ccu.edu) who discusses whether there is a crisis or not. Are we in trouble or is talk of a crisis really just spin and distraction?

Political correctness is shining brighter in North America. Award-winning journalist and television producer Christine Douglass-Williams (www.jihadwatch.org) recounts how, after writing an article critical of Islamism, she was fired from the Canadian Race Relations Foundation. The word ‘Islamophobia’ is being used to stifle debate and push us further from reality.

Once upon a time, speaking out against the evils of communism was embraced. Jake Klein (www.capitalresearch.org), Director of Media Operations for Capital Research, made a video doing just that, and despite hearing of communism’s millions of victims and the successes of capitalism, many people defended the former and attacked the latter.

John’s quote of the week:
When you’re in a tough situation, you really do need to discriminate. You need to make judgments. You need to ask, ‘Friend, foe? Good, evil?’ Your security and the security of your family could rest on it. But if you rest on politically correct ideas, you may put yourself in grave danger because they don’t rest on reality.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve dive into memo after memo and discuss the bigger picture behind the FISA fiasco. John goes on to look at the Catholic Church hierarchy throughout history and their relationship with China today. Finally, he tackles the idea that Western society is terrible and how that will lead to society’s downfall.

To Integrate, Merge West

We are skipping the boralogue on this Labor Day weekend and diving right into the show with our first guest. Dan Gainor (www.mrc.org), Vice President of Business and Culture at Media Research Center, compares the Left’s attempts today at revising our history with Mao’s Cultural Revolution in the 1960s.

Continuing our series on free speech, Edmund Kozak (www.lifezette.com), political reporter with Lifezette, joins us to discuss censorship against conservatives by Facebook and Twitter and whether Google’s immense size qualifies it as a public utility.

Can Islam integrate into Western culture? Award-winning journalist and television producer Christine Douglass-Williams (www.jihadwatch.org) looks at Islam’s struggle between modernizing and retaining sharia law, and the West’s inability to discuss the issue due to political correctness.

Journalistic credibility, already at an historic low, took another hit this week. Curtis Houck (www.newsbusters.org), Managing Editor of NewsBusters, reports that after a Wall Street Journal editor asked his reporters to write fair, opinion-free stories, the New York Times and other leftists expressed outrage. Of course they did.

John’s quote of the week:
“There was an article in the New York Times and the author noted that hate speech was the same as physical violence and therefore we need to treat it that way. Do you realize that if we had had that same litmus test in this country, we never would have had an American revolution? We never would have had a country.”

Our Section 6 intelligence brief is taking Labor Day off, but John will be back next week with more analysis on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
