What can we learn from tragedies like the Florida shooting? The media will always play the same old gun control script, for one. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the arguments made by gun control advocates and points out their logical fallacies. Doing the same failing thing each time won’t work. We need to change the moral foundation of society, not do away with guns.

In the wake of the FISA scandal as well as the missed red flags in Florida, what is happening to our intelligence community? Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Research at the Center for Security Policy – and a former CIA agent – discusses the lack of proper training within intelligence agencies and the willful blindness due to a PC worldview.

Can an American town enact an ordinance that stifles religious freedom? Mike LeMay (www.standupforthetruth.com), General Manager of Q90 FM radio near Green Bay, recounts how the city of De Pere, Wisconsin has done just that, potentially requiring churches to engage in practices against their religious beliefs. He and others are filing a lawsuit to stop it.

We welcome Paul Van Noy (www.candlelight.org), Pastor at Candlelight Fellowship in northern Idaho, who recounts his trip to Thailand to visit Pastor X, touring the immigration detention centers, and seeing firsthand how donation moneys are being spent.

After analyzing comments from economist Lawrence Kotlikoff, who discusses the reality of social spending debt and offers a possible solution to the problem, John chats with Dr. Myles Schneider (www.mylesofhealth.com), a foot and ankle doctor in Virginia, about alternatives to Obamacare popping up in some states and healthy solutions to lower costs.

John’s quote of the week:
“Foolish people double down on bad arguments and they implement double the number of bad ideas in law, which of course do nothing to make future situations safer and oftentimes make them worse while tangling other people up in the law of unintended consequences. This is called putting lipstick on a pig.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the lead up to the school shooting in Florida. John then goes on to look at news from the Middle East including the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran and Syria on the other. Some schools in the Middle East are teaching students to hate and become martyrs. John asks the hard questions no one else seems to want to pose.

Do you find yourself perplexed by goings on in the political world? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at inconsistent media coverage with the Trump-Russia collusion and Susan Rice unmasking stories, showing that behind every double standard is an underlying single standard that holds up to logic. The single standard emerging is that the media are nothing but shills for the Democrat Party.

How does the mania about Russia today compare with the Red Scare in the 1950s? Columnist and author Diana West (www.dianawest.net) points out that while there’s much ado about nothing today, there really was a problem with communist infiltration of our government in the McCarthy-era. She also looks at the role of fake news then and now.

Liberals of the 1960s would probably be seen as conservative today. Matt Walsh (www.theblaze.com), Christian conservative blogger at The Blaze points out that the pendulum of moral values has swung far to the Left in the past few decades, threatening ethical standards and exposing liberalism as the worship of self.

Has Western Europe lost its identity and culture amidst a wave of Islamic migration? Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President at the Center for Security Policy examines both the losing demographic battles in countries like France and Sweden as well as the need for Americans to hold on to our culture by understanding where we came from.

John’s quote of the week:
“Reading articles about the Trump-Russia collusion, you can tell it’s all based upon ‘sort of be, might have been, could have been, something gotta be but might not have been, but it could have been, even though it doesn’t look like it had been.’ And for all that hoopla, what do we really know?”

This week during our Section 6 Intelligence Briefing, John discusses the recent U.S. attack on Syria, the Susan Rice Scandal, the Trump-Russia narrative, and hate speech laws.

Will gun control eliminate or even lessen the spate of mass shootings like the ones we’ve experienced in the past 36 months? In this week’s boralogue, John shows that gun regulations ultimately harm law abiding citizens, like those who may need to protect themselves from mass shooters, and will do nothing to stop criminals’ intent on wreaking havoc. If allowed to continue, political correctness – false narratives about gun control, refusing to correctly identify the problem, etc – will only succeed in getting us killed.

How prevalent is silent jihad in America? Joining us is Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Research and Analysis at the Center for Security Policy, who examines the interrelation of Islam and Sharia, and reveals the true motivation behind the Gulen Movement – a network of schools in the U.S. designed to promote not just Turkish culture but also jihadist teachings.

With the Brexit vote coming up next week, we look at the EU’s beginning and how the CIA had a hand in setting it up. Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), correspondent for the New American discusses the push for a global government in establishing the EU and the goal of creating transnational regions with no sovereignty and unelected courts to rule over them.

Good news in the area of tamping down government overreach. Reed Hopper (www.pacificlegal.org), Environmental Attorney for Pacific Legal Foundation shares his recent legal win in the Supreme Court guaranteeing the rights of property owners to challenge federal agency abuses of the Clean Water Act.

John’s quote of the week:
“Why didn’t we have large numbers of shooting like this 50 years ago? It’s that the morality of the country has changed and that’s why you’re seeing the increase in violence. Until you get that under control, you won’t get the violence under control – no matter how many laws you pass.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

So what’s all the moping about? Nothing has changed in the direction of the country over the last 30 years. John’s boralogue reminds listeners not to interrupt an adversary in the process of making a mistake. Campaign promises fade as the left and right begin a grueling dance to get the fiscal cliff under control. John outlines what the fiscal cliff actually looks like.

Then we’ll examine what an Obama administration second term will mean for national security. Frank Gaffney from the Center for Security Policy (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.com) returns to the program.

Finally, the feature interview of today’s program asks: Why did US armed forces fail to provide backup for embassy staff under attack in Benghazi, Libya, resulting in their deaths? Could it be because the US was doing business with Al-Qaeda in running Libyan arms to Syrian rebels? Clare Lopez from the Clarion Fund (www.radicalislam.com) joins the program.
