Battle of Worldviews

Login to access this full program.

Fresh from his speaking engagement at the Worldview Weekend Conference in Missouri last week, John recounts in his boralogue some of the conversations he had with people he encountered on the trip. In large measure, people are nice, inquisitive and just want to live happy lives. But life must have purpose and that purpose can be found in God. So let’s help each other get to the finish line, enjoying life along the way.

Israel has weathered a barrage of rocket attacks from Gaza in the past week. Are we getting accurate information about the skirmish? Author and Captain in the Israeli Defense Forces, Dan Gordon, joins us to examine the differences in narratives from both sides and the media’s manipulation of the news. He also looks at the real reason behind the attacks.

John and Steve take a brief look at the media and discuss whether they are finally starting to be fair to the Trump administration or if they are playing defense for the Democrat Party in advance of what could be a serious FISA abuse scandal in coming weeks.

When we have a battle of worldviews, what are the nuances and tactics from both sides? Kameel Majdali (www.tan.org.au), Director of Teach All Nations, discusses the stark differences between traditional Western values and the far left progressive worldview and how Christians should engage those with whom they disagree.

Finally we welcome Michael Peroutka (www.theamericanview.com), Co-Founder of the Institute on the Constitution, who shows how there is a battle between those who honor the Biblically-based founding documents of America and those who try to tear them down and promote a socialist Utopian society.

John’s quote of the week:
In order to achieve the utopian vision, the utopiocracy shall we say, has to know everything you’re thinking, doing, and saying because everyone has to march in lock step with its dictates. But of course for this to happen you only have to give up your freedom.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play first an interview John gave recently on KYMS, a local radio station in north Idaho, where he discusses media narratives, government influencing churches, and the martyred church. Plus, he gives a weather forecast for the greater Laodicea area! Then we play a brief appearance John made on Brannon Howse’s program from the Worldview Weekend conference in Missouri last weekend.

Weight of Reality

How do we define the terms of any battle? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the weaponization of language when it comes to political and cultural battles, looking back at the Third Reich and the Spanish Inquisition to compare to the tactics of social justice warriors today. Free speech and open discussion of ideas are what we have now. We need to stand up against those who would take those freedoms away.

Immigration is at the top of every news cycle today, but are we getting the whole truth about who’s coming here? Todd Bensman (www.cis.org), Senior National Security Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, reveals the truth about where those who are coming from South America are actually from and discusses the similarities and differences between Europe’s and America’s approach to handling the migrant crisis.

Is there another Reformation on the horizon for the Catholic Church? John Zmirak (www.stream.org), Senior Editor at The Stream returns to examine the controversies surrounding the current Pope and the need for reform now that socialist ideas seem to be taking hold within the Church.

What is the difference between justice and social justice? Mark Hendrickson (www.visionandvalues.org), Economic Professor at Grove City College, joins us to discuss how government should ideally function and then how it would function should social justice warriors and the PC elites take over.

John finishes up the program this week reviewing several news stories, including the government shutdown, our growing debt problem, and the ability to exercise free speech when it comes to politically correct issues.

John’s quote of the week:
“Intersectionality is an effort to make appear logical that which is fundamentally illogical. They are trying to put it in some kind of order where they can contain the irrational chaos.”

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview from August 2015 with Dan Gordon regarding the similarities between terror tunnels under the Israel-Gaza border and those under the U.S.-Mexico border.

Important geopolitical changes are happening in the Middle East and while the mainstream media won’t focus on them, we will. In this week’s boralogue, John focuses his Middle East review on Saudi Arabia and their alliances, policies, and enemies. He also looks at the Palestinian Authority and their refusal to consider any peace plan solution from the Trump administration.

This week marks the 70th anniversary on the Jewish calendar of the establishment of the State of Israel. We welcome back Dan Gordon, Captain in the Israel Defense Forces Reserves, who describes his firsthand account of Israel’s constant defense of its sovereignty and shows the differences between what’s really happening in the Middle East versus what the mainstream media is reporting.

President Trump is changing the status quo through his policies and strategies, but his detractors absolutely can’t stand it. Ben Weingarten (www.benweingarten.com), Founder and CEO of ChangeUp Media, discusses President Trump’s mandate with the America people and his innovative, though reported as controversial, strategies with both North Korea and the Middle East.

John’s quote of the week:
There are geopolitical changes underway that are waiting out there to strike us and our media are focused on what is happening with the internal political battles – notably the Darn Trump movement – that they are not observing all of the cycles and trends that are happening.

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the recent Southwest Airlines engine explosion and the unfortunate death of the passenger. Then, John and Producer Steve review a few crazy stories from the state of California.

We continue our year of anniversaries, skipping the boralogue this week, and jumping into a discussion on the 50th anniversary of the June 1967 War between Israel and several surrounding Arab states.

Dan Gordon, (www.dayofthedeadlibertyedition.com) Captain in the Israel Defense Forces Reserves, joins us and relates his stories from the Six-Day War, of the events that led up to it, and of the forces that would not be denied, and discusses modern-day terrorism in the Middle East and America.

Despite real issues like lunatics shooting up ball fields in Virginia or multiple terror attacks in London, the media and the Left continue their war to take down President Trump. Micah Morrison (www.judicialwatch.org), Chief Investigative Report for Judicial Watch, examines the failing Russia collusion narrative, monetary exchanges between the Trump organization and Russian banks, and the largely ignored revelation that the Obama administration spied on American citizens.

John’s quote of the week:
“Jerusalem has been attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times, besieged 23 times, and destroyed twice over the course of 3,000 years. So it is no real stranger to stress, strife, and warfare.”

This week during our Section 6 Intelligence Briefing, John covers media inaccuracies, campaigns against the president, the Deep State, blasphemy laws & Sharia, as well as Leftist narratives on college campuses.

After last week’s Paris attacks, President Obama’s remarks show once again the administration’s refusal to acknowledge reality. In this week’s boralogue, John tells us what the progressive left won’t: terrorism is an Islamic problem and must be addressed as such. Until then, it will be impossible to tackle the crisis. We are told it is “religious” extremism and Muslims are the victims, not Christians. Reality is taking a backseat to narrative.

Were the terror attacks in Paris a prelude to future threats in America? We welcome back Israel Defense Force Captain Dan Gordon (www.dayofthedeadlibertyedition.com) who discusses NATO’s dysfunction, terror in gun-free zones, and the backlash forming against political correctness and its clash with reality. Governments must protect its citizens. Will ours?

With Thanksgiving coming up, we look back at the Christian roots of our nation with Bill Federer (www.americanminute.com), host of American Minute Radio. From religious persecution in Europe to establishing the 13 colonies, Bill reviews the Mayflower Compact and the Protestant foundation of America, disproving the revisionist view that the U.S. was built on secularism.

Finally, this weekend marks 52 years since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Bestselling author Phil Shenon (www.philipshenon.com) shows that the CIA tracked Oswald for months prior to November 1963, but never presented their intelligence to the Warren Commission. Could this failure to communicate have spawned countless conspiracy theories?

We are thankful for all of our listeners and wish you a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

Our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6!

This week in Section 6, John takes a closer look at President Obama’s comments following the Paris terror attacks. Join us for another solid hour of in-depth analysis.
