Special Announcement:

Due to COVID-19 quarantines now in effect, we’re publishing full-length episodes in our free SPN Podcast Network and mobile app for the next several weeks. We encourage you to stay safe throughout this difficult situation and we hope these programs provide insight and encouragement.

Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the devil’s choice: stay isolated and probably kill the economy or ramp up the economy and most likely extend the virus. There needs to be a threading of the needle and our leaders should put aside the urge to behave like bureaucrats and act prudently during this crisis. And it’s up to us to pray for wisdom for those leaders.

Stephen RascheThe plight of persecuted Christians very rarely gets air time in worldwide media, especially so now that we’re dealing with Covid-19. Stephen Rasche (www.chaldeanchurcherbil.org), Vice Chancellor at the Catholic University in Erbil, Iraq, joins us to give a clear understanding of how Christians are faring in Iraq and the Middle East.

John and Carol join forces to analyze today’s new economic and political paradigm. Things are changing where it concerns politicos’ behavior in government, the validity of buying gold and silver, and how headlines and perception fuel the market’s engine more than profit statements.

Kelly SadlerInevitably, for good or bad, politics seeps into a crisis. Kelly Sadler (www.a1apac.org), Director of Policy and Communications for President Trump’s re-election campaign, examines the relief bill, attacks on the President, and helping out businesses during this rough time.

Dr. Paul WilliamsWe close out the show this week with disaster and preparedness expert Dr. Paul Williams (www.whenallplansfail.com), who stresses the importance of being calm in an emergency, eating healthy to stave off sickness, and the power of prayer in every situation.

John’s quote of the week:
You’re watching happen now what would happen if we implemented all of the designs that we’ve heard proposed in terms of taxes and carbon credits and the reduction of industry in order to stop man-made global warming. There’s no way the economy worldwide can even think about this for the next five or ten years as it climbs out of this mess.

On this week’s extra segment, we play a triple feature of noted doctor and preparedness expert Paul Williams. From 2010 after flooding in Nashville, from 2012 following Hurricane Sandy, and from 2014 in the middle of the Ebola outbreak, Dr. Williams gives good advice on how to prepare for emergencies.

As countries or covenants or agreements get older and older there is a tendency to drift away from the original principles. In this week’s boralogue, John notes that sometimes we may forget where we come from so when things drift markedly from where they should be in this country, we should get back to the beginning. The freedoms in the Constitution, which made this country unique and successful, are a good place to start.

We welcome to the show an old friend of John’s, Burt Yellin (www.roehisrael.org), Rabbi at Roeh Israel, a Messianic church in Denver, Colorado. The two discuss the state of the country today, the difference between Jews in Israel and Jews in America, and how Burt answered the call of ministry after years of searching.

Trusting in God can lead to second guessing and interesting prayers, but eventually He calls and it’s up to us to trust Him enough to answer. Physician and missionary Dr. Paul Williams (www.whenallplansfail.com) joins us to review his new book on how your decisions can affect your path in life and shares how God’s calling in his life led to relief for many around the world.

We all know that Facebook, Google, and Twitter have been caught censoring conservatives who espouse views they don’t agree with, but how did we get to this point? Investigative journalist and economist James Simpson (www.crisisnow.net) examines the Marxist infiltration of education and advocates for reform of regulations if things are going to change in the future.

John’s quote of the week:
Countries have fights, disputes, and conflicts, but we all get into this crisis moment in which people forget how our country was started. For us, that was freedom. And that is what we should be fighting for.

In this week’s Section 6, we play an interview John gave last week on Stand Up For The Truth on Q90FM in Wisconsin with Mike LeMay. John discusses the liberal mindset, the word ‘nationalist’ in our political discourse, the dividing nature of the Alinsky method, the latest with the Catholic Church, and the differences between positive and negative rights.

Silver Anniversary

This week marks 25 years that Steel on Steel has been on the air. We have a jammed packed show this week, full of future predictions as well as a look back at some of our favorite moments from the last quarter century. We will postpone the boralogue and dive right in, welcoming back to the program William Forstchen (www.onesecondafter.com), a professor of history at Montreat College in North Carolina. He discusses what would happen if terrorists set off an EMP bomb and the chaos and hardships to follow, as well as Congress’s failure to repair a creaking electrical infrastructure, coronal mass ejection – the sun’s EMP – and urges each of to prepare for a future attack.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu caused quite a stir this week with comments suggesting that former grand mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, was directly involved in Hitler’s plan to exterminate the Jews. In a belated boralogue, John examines al-Husseini’s life, including his involvement with the Nazis, and analyzes the media’s bias against Israel.

We finish up this week by looking back and sharing with you some important moments in the show’s history as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. We thank you for listening and we will continue to be your early warning service, dedicated to the sharpening of ideas, news, commentary, interview, information and debate, much of which you will not hear elsewhere.

Our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6!

This week in Section 6, John takes a look at the continued violence in Jerusalem and the media’s take on it as well as church history and how it relates to current events. Also, in celebration of our 25 years on the air, we conclude Section 6 with a full show from 1995 featuring a conversation with Chuck Missler and Avi Lipkin.

We have an update to the book set When All Plans Fail by medical missionary Dr. Paul Williams. Get them both for just $30.00 in our Media Store!

Disaster expert Dr. Paul Williams explains what you need to know and do to be prepared for the worst with hope. Drawing on 30 years medical missions experience in more than 100 countries, he helps you learn how to face emergencies with confidence and faith. With detailed checklists and step-by-step advice, the book will show you how to live in the now, but prepare for the future.

The silly season is heating up and this week we witnessed an early boil. Democrat party candidates held their first debate with a fireworks display of droll talking points. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at politicians’ promises of free stuff, despite economic problems on the horizon, a changing Middle East chessboard, impending terror attacks in America, and an out of control debt. Remember one thing: before Obamacare, before the housing crisis, before terrorists breached our borders, and with debate promises made this week, they lied to us.

A recent report from Judicial Watch shows proof that ISIS has infiltrated our southern border. Irene Garcia (www.judicialwatch.org), Investigative Reporter for Judicial Watch, joins us to discuss the failure of security on our porous border and a possible cover-up by Homeland Security officials who say they have no knowledge of any problems. Some ISIS members were caught, but many more have snuck through undetected. Wake up and smell the infiltration.

Now that ISIS is here, what is the likelihood of terrorist attacks? Dan Perkins (www.danperkins.guru), bestselling author of The Brotherhood of the Red Nile trilogy, examines ISIS’s ability to obtain nuclear materials and reveals that terrorists may target America’s heartland rather than New York or Washington. He compares our border crisis to the refugee chaos in Europe and questions whether OPEC countries may be next on the terrorist hit list.

The Hippocratic Oath for physicians in part states, “Nor shall any man’s entreaty prevail upon me to administer poison to anyone; neither will I counsel any man to do so.” Alex Schadenburg (www.epcc.ca), Executive Director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, discusses how Canada’s legislature is redefining euthanasia, and shows that the ability to practice medicine depends on whether or not doctors are willing to allow patients to go through with an act they consider to be wrong.

With terrorist attacks and natural disasters looming on our horizon, it is always good to be prepared. We welcome back Dr. Paul Williams (www.whenallplansfail.com), author of When All Plans Fail, who emphasizes the need for neighborhoods and churches to band together for disaster relief and reviews predicted earthquakes for the U.S. and what life may be like after the big one.

Our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6!As always, join us online for our weekly Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

Sustainable Drooling

150018 05/02/2015

Christine Lagarde of the IMF, President Obama, and Pope Francis are all drooling anthropogenic global warming – bring on the carbon tax! The Vatican hosted a confab this week about global warming. In his boralogue, John highlights the socialist buzz words found in UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s keynote address at the Vatican. It seems ‘sustainable development’ is not only the main topic of the speech, it also gets the drool flowing. We’ll take a look at sustainability this week.

When the Soviet Union collapsed and the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, what was a socialist to do? Thank goodness the concept of global warming came along a few years later. And with it came the new, rather vague, concept of sustainability. We welcome to the program Dr. Peter Wood (www.nas.org), President of the National Association of Scholars, who sheds some light on this popular issue. Several college campuses offer sustainability courses, but is it more about indoctrination and less about education? “It’s a shame in this country,” Peter says, “when the institution most dedicated to free speech has become the institution most hostile to free speech.”

This week, a massive earthquake struck Nepal, killing more than 5,000, injuring twice that many, and toppling thousands of homes and historic buildings. With the casualty numbers sure to rise, Dr. Paul Williams, M.D. (www.whenallplansfail.com), author of the emergency preparedness series When All Plan Fail, rejoins us to talk about the human toll and what we can do to help.

You’ve heard us mention on the program that the United States is slowly becoming an oligarchic dictatorship. Ellen Brown (www.publicbankinginstitute.org), Founder and Senior Advisor of the Public Banking Institute, discusses what that would look like. She also shows how the Trans Pacific Partnership is one of the catalysts pushing us toward this oligarchy.

Join us as we continue our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6, which features Our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6!comments by John on important stories making news around the world. This week, John takes an extensive look at the rumblings of war on the global chessboard. You can feel it coming.
