Shifting Definitions

Are the politically correct powers that be delusional or are they lying? In this week’s boralogue, John shows that despite their assurances, nuclear deals like the one with North Korea and Iran will fail, Islamic terrorism will affect the United States, and the quicksand that is the Chinese economy will have a profound effect around the world. In order for these narratives to work, politicos must shift the meaning of longstanding definitions, which they hope will keep our eroding foundation from collapsing.

Protesters have taken over an Oregon wildlife refuge after a pair of ranchers was imprisoned by the government. Reed Hopper (www.pacificlegal.org), Environmental Law Attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation, analyzes similar cases where government agencies have overstepped their bounds and violated due process, highlighting the battle between environmentalism and property rights.

Why is our Constitution being interpreted so differently now than when it was created? Jenna Ellis (www.jennaellis.org), Attorney and Law Professor at Colorado Christian University, joins us to discuss the importance of objective morality, showing that historically, the judiciary has shifted Constitutional definitions, resulting in secular humanistic ideals that have been codified into law. We must bring back the true moral authority that our Founding Fathers infused into our Constitution.

John’s quote of the week:
“Mulit-culti doesn’t work. The new culti has no intention of merging into the old culti. There are always problems with violence coming in from the new culti, which means the old culti wants to violentize it back. That just means we don’t talk about it because you can’t say it. So we’ll just call it a giant no-go zone for free speech.”

Back from holiday hiatus is our Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

We’ll kick off the show in John’s boralogue by comparing constitutional rights with the new category of “human rights,” and explaining why this has placed the Constitution on life support. Constitutional rights are granted as being inherent or God-given, whereas human rights require one person to sacrifice constitutional rights and be forced to provide something for another person for free.

What happens when faulty science teams up with religion? Cornell University Adjunct Professor Matt Briggs (www.wmbriggs.com) explores the Vatican’s curious involvement in anthropogenic global warming along with Pope Francis’s upcoming papal encyclical on environmentalism, and how continued pressure to believe erroneous studies is damaging the scientific process and perhaps the credibility of religion.

The Obama administration has recently claimed dominion over America’s waterways, changing the current “navigable waterways” definition to “all waterways.” The interstate commerce clause of the Constitution was never intended to be tortured to this level. Mark Baird (www.soj51.net), President of northern California water rights group Scott Valley Protect Our Water, explains regulatory mismanagement in California and advocates standing up against government overreach. He relates this to the campaign to create what would be the nation’s 51st state, the State of Jefferson, from several of California’s northernmost counties.

We’re beginning a thread to examine socialist policies in South America and their relevance today to U.S. security. Russell Dallen (www.laht.com), President and Editor of the Latin American Herald Times, relates important observations of Venezuela’s poverty and economic ruin under Chavez and Maduro, and touches on Argentina’s questionable financial practices over the past decade.

Our weekly intelligence news briefing, Section 6!As always, join us online for our weekly Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world. This week, John takes an extensive look at the differences and similarities between the Patriot Act and the Freedom Act.

Environmental Fascism

Theoretically governments are supposed to save the planet for future generations. But we now have to ask if we are being forced to save ourselves from those who are saving the planet. Julie MacDonald is former Deputy Undersecretary of the Interior (www.bestscience.org) and she debuts on the program to explain why so many governmental agencies are running rough shod over American citizens with little concern. Environmentalism has become a big-money game with only passing relation to saving the environment.

It seems the United Nations is getting ready to try to impose its control of the Internet by revising an existing international telecommunications treaty. Bartlett Cleland from the Institute for Policy Innovation (www.ipi.org) joins us.

Then in the last part of the program we’ll air clips from congressional hearings this week on persecution of Christians in China, especially noting the plight of Chinese human rights attorney and activist Chen Guangcheng.

John’s boralogue responds to a recent (offensive to many) speech by gay atheist activist Dan Savage to a group of high school journalism students, which has gone viral in some sectors. We’ll examine statements he made from a worldview perspective.

The Anti-Humanism Behind Environmentalism

Progressives have had a hard time establishing a basis for their constant appeals to morality due to the constantly changing basis on which it stands. James Kalb (www.jimkalb.com) is author of “The Tyranny of Liberalism: Understanding and Overcoming Administered Freedom, Inquisitorial Tolerance, and Equality by Command.”

Despite the claim that we’re saving nature for future generations, there is a long-standing dark side to environmentalism, which breathes malevolent hostility towards humanity in general. This philosophy of anti-humanism was responsible for much of the genocide which took place in the 20th Century. Dr. Robert Zubrin, Ph.D., is author of “Merchants of Despair: Radical Environmentalists, Criminal Pseudo-Scientists and the Fatal Cult of Antihumanism.”

John’s boralogue describes why the Obama administration’s proposal for a “Buffet Rule” is a conversion from taxing income to taxing capital. This chokes efforts of businesses to expand and create jobs, and is the equivalent of being forced to eat one’s seed corn, leaving nothing to start the following year’s crop. We’ll demonstrate this by examining the disparity between Warren Buffet’s tax recommendations for you and me versus what he actually does.
