We’re a hundred years out from the Roaring 20s of the last century. How different will this decade be from that one? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how our freedoms are eroding and how a technocracy and public-private partnership will completely restructure the government as we know it without the consent of the governed. It’s time for reform if we want to preserve the freedoms in the Constitution. Little people like us are just the ones to do that.

Jason HillThe basis for the 1619 Project is that the history of the United States is rooted in slavery and racism at every turn. Dr. Jason Hill (www.jasondamianhill.com), Professor of Philosophy at DePaul University in Chicago, joins us to examine how the U.S. overcame slavery and helped pull many people out of poverty through capitalism. But instead of being taught this in classrooms, students learn how to hate what it means to be an American.

John gives a brief analysis on the history of the Peace Process in the Middle East between Israel and the Palestinians, questioning who Israel’s peace partner would be since past and present candidates have all walked away from the negotiating table.

Richard ShinderRichard Shinder (www.theatine.com), Founder and Managing Partner of Theatine Partners, joins us to discuss the latest with globalism during the pandemic and how countries tend to reject it and turn inward during a crisis.

Nick AdamsFinally, we welcome Nick Adams (www.nickadamsusa.com), Founder of the Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness. He promotes his new book, Trump and Churchill, comparing and contrasting the two men, looking at their actions, the media’s perception of them, and their place in the annals of history.

Are we seeing a double standard regarding refugee policies in Europe? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the case of Asia Bibi, who has been denied asylum in the UK due to fears of violent protests. Those who would protest, however, are the very same ones who are protected and against whom no one is allowed to speak. We can learn from Europe’s dysfunction, but only if we are willing.

There is quite a difference in the perception of law enforcement between 2008 and today. Eric Reade (www.ccs.spokane.edu), former Officer in Charge of the Threat Assessment Unit for the Los Angeles Police Department, discusses the rise in violence against police officers in the last 10 years and stresses the importance of looking at facts, not rhetoric, when it comes to Black Lives Matter and the previous administration.

Now that the dust has settled – somewhat – from the midterms, we welcome back author and political forecaster Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) who reviews his midterm predictions and examines the irregularities in Florida’s recount ballot counting.

John and Producer Steve follow up on Mr. Lameiro’s interview looking at the possible strategies behind the Democrat recounts in Florida, which could be related to the Senate’s upcoming slew of conservative judicial appointments.

John’s quote of the week:
“In any situation you have to ask, ‘did this happen,’ ‘were rights violated,’ and ‘how do we deal with that?’ It has to be on a level playing field. Once you distort that going one way or the other, we don’t really have equal rights and we’ll never get there. It isn’t a matter of race; it’s a matter of humanity.”

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the California wildfires, Brexit mania in Europe, globalism vs sovereignty, and the reason for the visceral reactions to Brexit and President Trump. And it wouldn’t be the episode before Thanksgiving without John giving you his famous cranberry sauce recipe.

Loeffler’s Famous Cranberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries.
  • 2 cups brown sugar.
  • 1 cup apricot brandy.

Add all ingredients to a saucepan on medium to high heat and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, leave uncovered. Stir occasionally and let simmer until it reaches the desired thickness and the cranberries are fully cooked (about 1 hr. on very low heat). Makes 6 to 10 servings. Serve it hot or chilled.

From our family to yours; we hope you enjoy this special treat this Thanksgiving!
