Aedificare Murum: Build the Wall

With all the partisan bickering that seems to clog our national media these days, what are the things we really need to be concerned about? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at some storm waves on the horizon, including a political blowback following the Mueller report fiasco, an impending downturn in the economy, and the biggest battle for the future of this country: fighting to retain our freedom of speech.

Freedom of conscience and religion is being attacked north of our border. Independent researcher and author Michael Wagner (www.educationunlimited.ca) joins us from Canada to discuss how, if doctors in Ontario have a moral objection to abortion, they don’t have to perform it but they are required to give the patient a referral for it. If they refuse, they could face substantial penalties.

We have heard the chant, “Build the wall!” but why do we need one? Spencer Morrison (www.nationaleconomicseditorial.com), Founder and Editor-in-Chief of National Economics Editorial, shares the story of Hadrian’s Wall, built by the Roman Empire in what is now modern-day England, and gives examples of how walls protect the people and culture of a nation.

Finally this week, we invite back to the program Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA, who follows up his analysis of the Ground Truth Project and how the group has maligned both evangelicals and Zionists in favor of a politically correct narrative.

John’s quote of the week:
If you look at the argument that the state is going to be the determiner of what is moral and immoral, then we never would have abolished slavery. The state had once said that slavery was a legal thing so by today’s logic, people shouldn’t have argued against it. With this new worldview shift, everything has been flipped on its head.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play John’s latest appearance on KYMS, a local north Idaho radio station. After waxing nostalgic about radio days of yore, John goes on to discuss the media’s coverage of religion, immigration into the U.S., the latest on the Middle East peace plan, and gives a persecuted church update, focusing largely on Africa.

The Freedom to Bash Freedom

Society needs economics, politics, and religion to fully function, but what happens when one leg wars with another? In this week’s boralogue, John advocates for holding tight to the truth amid the craziness of life. Worldviews intent on destroying the three legs of Western society will waver and eventually fold. We must always remember amid life’s distractions our reference points and never forget the important things in life. It keeps us anchored to reality and to truth.

Those who bash freedom are only afforded the ability to do so because of freedom. Dave Huber (www.thecollegefix.com), Assistant Editor at The College Fix, joins us to discuss college course topics like critical race theory and how Western civilization is considered white supremacy. Despite the efforts of freedom bashers, though, there is a pushback to it in the education system.

What are rare earth metals and why are they so important to our future? Silver expert and Founder of the Morgan Report, Dave Morgan (www.silver-investor.com) analyzes how rare earth metals are processed and China’s monopoly on them. He also predicts our economy’s near future.

The media agenda with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is to blame Jews and Christians. Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting, examines the Ground Truth Project and their efforts to groom the next generation of mainstream media journalists.

Is Roe v. Wade heading for a downfall? Former Senior Associate at the Department of Education Dennis Cuddy (www.newswithviews.com) discusses the possibilities of Roe being overturned and what would happen if that comes to pass.

John finishes up this week looking at the worldviews and philosophies found in economics, politics, and religion, and the rights that government wants to impose on you that may go against your beliefs.

John’s quote of the week:
What we are seeing in the West is people trying to make things up as they go along, borrowing from Christianity when they need morality, changing it and adding things to it that they want and kicking other things out that they don’t want. All of this is done arbitrarily but they demand we all follow through on this terribly destructive nonsense. That’s why we’re in a bad way.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play a double feature of interviews John has given in the past week. First up is an appearance on It Seems To Me with Tom Read where the two speak about the media and how it has changed over the years. The second feature is John’s appearance on KYMS where he discusses a variety of issues including hate speech and the persecution of Christians around the world.
