Is it possible to have a newsworthy protest without violence and the shouting down of opponents? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at a protest in Sacramento earlier this month where thousands of people rallied against a bill that would have hindered homeschool parents’ ability to teach their children. The protest was peaceful and stood in stark contrast to the violence of Antifa rallies. But unlike with Antifa, there was a virtual media blackout in Sacramento.

Plus, in our clip of the week, John analyzes President Trump’s remarks ending the so-called Iran Deal and the aftermath of those comments.

Leading up to President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran Deal, Israel pulled off a massive coup in Tehran. Ken Timmerman (www.iran.org), President and CEO of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran, looks at Mossad’s operation to steal thousands of documents proving Iran’s nuclear program is still active and discusses President Trump’s battle with globalist elites.

Continuing our series on the heckler’s veto, we welcome Chris Gaubatz (www.understandingthethreat.com), Executive Vice President at Understanding the Threat, who examines free speech versus sharia law and how civilization jihad is happening all around us while most of us are unaware of its existence.

Revenue to the government may be up, but spending is out of control. Steve Levine (www.axios.com), Future Editor at online news magazine Axios, shows how millennials will be paying long into the future for the economic misdeeds of today. If we’re going to solve the problem, we need to start talking about possible solutions as soon as possible.

Finally, we welcome Tammi Rossman-Benjamin (www.amchainitiative.org), Director of the AMCHA Initiative, who analyzes anti-Semitism on college campuses and points out the hypocrisy of people who praise tolerance and decry hatred, but who are nothing but intolerant and hateful.

John’s quote of the week:
Which group of people would you rather listen to: those who can present rational, quiet arguments for their position in a respectful way, or those who shout down with irrationality and unreason anyone who opposes them, chanting cheap clichés which say absolutely nothing? If you’re a sane person, the answer is pretty simple.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the following: an ongoing effort to subvert the electoral college system in favor of the popular vote, the prospect of the U.S. becoming the world’s top exporter of oil, and an interesting twist in the Robert Mueller saga.

Silence by Any Means

Eventually, reality becomes real and illusion fades into obscurity. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at different ways the progressive elitists are manipulating facts and, at times, using force to define the playing field in order to avoid debating. Begging the question and the heckler’s veto are two examples of the Left trying to silence dissent. The real battle is over truth and they will fight you with half-truths, incomplete truths, and even outright lies.

Environmentalist and author Tim Ball (www.drtimball.com) has been trying for years to debate the consensus thought on climate change and his detractors have used many means, including lawfare, to attempt to silence him. Dr. Ball describes his ordeal fighting three separate lawsuits meant to bankrupt him and shut him up. The assault on free speech has hit the courtroom.

One example of the heckler’s veto occurred recently in the upper Midwest when progressive groups forced conference centers to cancel already booked events. John Guandolo (www.understandingthethreat.com), President and Founder of Understanding the Threat and a speaker at one of those events, discusses how he and others had planned to educate people about Islam but certain groups didn’t want the information made public.

Have we seen this silencing of speech before? Stephen Halbrook (www.independent.org), Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, joins us to examine the rise of the Nazi party in the 1930s and their tactics to suppress free speech and confiscate weapons. They ran into problems later, though, in France when pockets of resistance sprang up.

John’s quote of the week:
People with losing arguments – if they have to resort to logical fallacies, if they have to resort to force and heckling because their arguments can’t stand up to the other side, they only have one choice left: keep people from speaking.

In this week’s Section 6, John plays a clip of Diamond and Silk testifying before Congress and looks at different ways social media sites are trying to silence politically incorrect speech. He covers the SPLC’s history of designating hate groups and how they are scaling that back after some pushback. He finishes up with the “new liberal order” spoken about by Emmanuel Macron in his speech before Congress this week.

Checking the Fact Checkers

We are divided on this earth and we fight each other over a myriad of issues every day. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the battles being waged not only in the physical world but also in the spiritual realm. We can wear our armor and use our weapons but it is ultimately God and His love that saves us. And we are to use the love He gives us to pray for and bless those who oppose us in our earthly battles.

Who determines what fake news is and what is real? Christian Robey (www.newsbusters.org/fact-checkers), Political Director at the Media Research Center, joins us to discuss censorship in the form of biased fact-checkers and the battle between the mainstream and independent media. Who is fact checking the fact checkers?

There is a backlash in Europe over the anti-freedom tactics from Brussels. We welcome back award winning journalist and writer Christine Douglass-Williams (www.jihadwatch.org) who points out that the EU is getting nervous about the backlash and is using the terms “fake news” and “hate speech” to shut down the free flow of ideas in order to keep a hold on their power.

Marxist groups who want to shut down speeches or conferences badger venues until the event is cancelled – it’s called the heckler’s veto. Shahram Hadian (www.tilproject.com), Founder of the Truth in Love Project, describes how his event was canceled in Minnesota due to the heckler’s veto and how he is fighting back against this violation of freedom of speech.

John’s quote of the week:
You have two groups of people starting from different worldview assumptions, using different processes of thinking to arrive at many different conclusions and thinking the other side is probably evil incarnate and almost incapable of communicating with each other because we don’t have much common ground. There’s only one area where you can hit this common ground and that is in the area of Christianity.

In this week’s Section 6, John waxes nostalgic about the way it was in radio broadcasting back in his day and compares it with newscasting in today’s world. He then discusses the battle between federal versus state laws, the impact of the raid on the office of President Trump’s personal attorney, and several stories that represent a larger agenda being enacted.
