In literature, narratives are often fiction. In both the mainstream media and politics, narratives exhibit the same fictitious nature. In this week’s boralogue, John gives several examples of how the media and politicos have failed to tell the truth lately, including with the gun rights rally in Virginia, with anthropogenic global warming, and with Attorney General William Barr. It turns out you can make this stuff up – and it shows us their true intentions.

Manda ErvinIran is a hot topic in the news but one aspect not covered by the media is how women have been treated there. Manda Zand Ervin (www.allianceofiranianwomen.org), Founder and President of the Alliance of Iranian Women, joins us to recount how Iranian women, who were being oppressed by the mullahs, established a secret underground network in order to survive. Much of this information can be found in her new book, The Ladies’ Secret Society of Iran.

It’s time for a Middle East geopolitical update so we welcome an expert on the subject, Seth Frantzman (www.sethfrantzman.com), Middle East Affairs Analyst at the Jerusalem Post. He examines a deal between Turkey and Russia to partition Libya, an oil pipeline from the region to Eastern Europe, and the interactions between Turkey, Syria, and the Kurds.

John and Producer Steve spend a few moments dissecting an opinion piece from the Harvard Law Review that advocates for end-running the Constitution in an attempt to add amendments that would not only give permanent legislative power to liberals but would also ultimately endanger the Republic itself.

John finishes out the show this week with a news story roundup, relating stories from around the world. Included are the impending Brexit, a disastrous new economic plan in Spain, trouble in China regarding the Catholic Church, and several examples of Christian persecution.

John’s quote of the week:
If the people cannot operate on the basis of their conscience and their convicted values and beliefs, what will act as a judge upon the government when the government itself goes corrupt? And governments, believe me, will go corrupt.

On this week’s extra segment, it’s a quadruple feature as we play four interviews from 2014, 2015, and 2016 with Iraqi Christian Relief Council President Juliana Taimoorazy. She recounts the problems and tragedies involving Christians in Iraq from ISIS’s persecution to their troubles with the UN regarding refugee status. With Iraq in the news lately, it’s important to remember those who are suffering for their faith there (and around the world).

Lack of journalistic standards has shown a light on a bigger problem: intersectionality. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how the clanging and banging of intersectionality and its attempted adherence to social justice has left real people, like the Covington High School kids, in its wake. Intersectionality and its media acolytes are pointing to the self-destructing foundation of a dying belief system.

Globalism has been on a steady rise for decades, but how has it become popular? Researcher and author Carl Teichrib (www.gameofgods.ca) describes how dynamic speakers tell us we all need to work together, eschewing sovereignty, to save the planet, all while disguising a hatred for Christianity and a love of paganism.

John takes a moment to dissect a speech given by Walter Cronkite in 1999 upon accepting a global governance award. Cronkite advocated for more global rule and less sovereignty. John notes that ousting sovereignty will never fly with many countries so the idea of global governance would never work. That, it seems, is the way it is.

It’s a unique time in the Middle East as several events and issues are coming together. Seth Frantzman (www.jpost.com), Op-Ed Editor for the Jerusalem Post gives us an on the ground perspective from Israel, examining the generational change in leadership of several Middle East nations, how Israel is faring, and the formation of unlikely alliances.

John and Steve wrap up the program this week discussing the epidemic of false assault claims, the media’s response to them, and President Trump’s emergency declaration in regards to border security and the wall.

John’s quote of the week:
“When we go through these three stages – traditional, transitional, and transformational – the middle stage which we are in right now is a big blurry. It’s very hard for people to tell what’s happening, where they’ve come from, and where they’re going. And they don’t realize that major changes are underway.”

In this week’s Extras segment, John is still under the weather so we are charging up the way back machine again and playing an interview from 2014 with Os Guinness. He and John discuss Christianity and how it always provides answers, even during times of trouble, and has always proved wrong those who think it dead.

When your boat is filling up with water, do you gouge a hole in the bottom in order to drain it? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the aftermath of the Michael Cohen plea and how the institution of attorney-client privilege could be damaged long-term. Certain societal conventions are being sacrificed in order to pile up short-term gains, such as ousting President Trump from office. Plus, John plays a clip from the movie Man For All Seasons that further illustrates his point.

Can multiculturalism work? Author and historian Jeff Lipkes (www.jefflipkes.com) gives several historical examples of cultures that warred against assimilation with other societies and yet are taught in today’s schools to have been civil and virtuous. Can Western society survive when incoming people groups fight against established values and customs?

How does the World Council of Churches fit in with anti-Semitism and the attitudes of certain churches against Israel? We welcome back Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA, who discusses the long-term strategy to destroy the will of Jews and others in the West to defend themselves against attacks, both ideological and physical.

To finish out the show, John, Carol, and Producer Steve form a new round-table discussion group called the Steel Company and examine the geopolitics of Iran, the Middle East, and Turkey.

John’s quote of the week:
I have consistently argued for a level playing field and for fairness on both sides regardless of whether it involved liberals or conservatives. But it seems that so many people are contradicting the things that they have preached at us for years just because it seems to favor their momentary cause.

In this week’s Section 6, John, Carol, and Producer Steve continue their discussion of geopolitics, then move on to the Manafort and Cohen decisions this week, and finally take a look at what the globalists are up to.

Red Warning Lights

Can we honestly say that we are thankful this holiday season? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the saving grace by faith provided by our Savior and it is through that faith that we have our greatest freedom. We have constitutional freedoms in this country as well and we risk losing them when we don’t thank the God who allowed us to live under them. So love God, love one another, and treat everyone with respect. We can all be thankful for that.

Plus, don’t miss John’s annual cranberry recipe. Make sure to have your ID handy when purchasing ingredients!

How does the Middle East chess board, with its complex interacting pieces, look today? Kevin Freeman (www.globaleconomicwarfare.com), Founder and CEO of Freeman Global, points out that economic and geopolitical warning lights are going off in the Middle East between Saudi Arabia, Israel, Iran, and of course the United States.

Why is the 1917 Balfour Declaration suddenly controversial today? Author and retired attorney Rick Richman (www.jpundit.typepad.com) answers that question and explains why a two-state solution always fails, even when a vast majority of demands are met.

What happens when a campus religious group espouses the same beliefs as their religious institution, but is still called a hate group? Ashley McGuire (www.thecatholicassociation.org), Senior Fellow with The Catholic Association, examines political correctness on campus and the denial of first amendment freedoms.

John’s quote of the week:
I’ve been wondering if all of these people screaming about rights and oppression really recognize how well off they are compared with the rest of the world. You want to see oppression? Come with me to certain countries in the world and I’ll show you oppression. And if you live to escape from it, you can tell other people about it.”

This week in Section 6: John discusses the politics behind the recent Roy Moore accusations, how the Clintons have outlasted their usefulness, the Pope’s views on climate change — the Paris Accord, and facts. We’ll also talk about the spiritual dynamic behind much of our current events, and finally, the real tax plan being proposed.

The Illogic Chronicles

170045 11/11/2017

The illogic chronicles have been in full swing this past year as hypocrisy abounds and common sense is ignored. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at California, fake news, and Vatican bishops who are in favor of global warming and gun control. When logic is tossed aside, chaos ensues but reality will eventually win out. It’s up to us to be prepared and stay true. Plus John analyzes Tom Steyer’s call for impeachment in our clip of the week.

Are social media sites consistent in their enforcement of “community standards?” Ben Weingarten (www.benweingarten.com), Founder and CEO of ChangeUp Media, shows how YouTube and Google are circumventing the First Amendment via hate speech laws. Their targets: why only conservatives, of course!

Does the UN protect the sovereign equality of all its Members, as its charter states? Attorney and author Joseph Klein (www.frontpagemag.com) discusses how one country – Israel – isn’t quite as equal in the UN’s eyes as other member states. The Organization has endorsed and sometimes funded anti-Israel activities.

John and producer Steve dive into the illogical statements and hypocritical ideas of college professors and media pundits as part of our illogic chronicles series.

Finally, we take a look at why there is no peace in the Middle East. Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Anthropology Professor at McGill University in Montreal joins us and explains where true loyalty lies in the Middle East and how peaceful the region would be if Israel didn’t exist.

John’s quote of the week:
The First Amendment – freedom of speech and religion – is guaranteed. It is joined at the hip with the Second Amendment. If you can destroy the Second Amendment, it’s not going to be far behind before the First goes as well.

In this week’s Section 6: Tax reform that’s really not reform, the Roy Moore sex scandal, calling everything racist – including the national anthem, and advice for winter conditions. We close with a persecution update.
