The titans of media have been exposed of late as being less than impartial. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at Katie Couric’s selective editing, Facebook’s censoring of conservative posts, and a slew of online giants pledging to combat hate speech under the guise of thwarting terror plots on social media. Eliminating or censoring any speech in favor of selected narratives violates free speech and should be opposed.

What is the difference between a constitutional convention and a convention of states? Constitutional Law Attorney Jenna Ellis (www.jennaellis.org) rejoins the program to discuss Article V of the Constitution and to assert that the only comprehensive change to our system of government will need to come from the states because it will not come from Washington.

Definitions found within laws and regulations are being changed, forcing businesses to deal with unnecessary change. Seton Motley (www.lessgovernment.org), President of Less Government, examines how laws are being changed by faceless unaccountable bureaucrats to mean things the founders never intended. Ideologies should never trump nor change the law.

Switching gears, we take a look at our history from the 1960s in regards to the Vietnam War and events leading up to it. Dr. Geoff Shaw (www.counterinsurgency.com), head of Alexandrian Defense Group, recounts the life of Ngo Dinh Diem, President of Vietnam and shows how America’s involvement in his assassination led to a protracted and costly war.

John’s quote of the week:
“The moment you prohibit all guns in this country, a vibrant black market in guns would erupt from Mexico, and we would see thousands of arms moving across our border – just like the drugs do. No matter how much you try to block this, criminals will always be able to find a way on the street to get the weapons that they need.”

John Kerry’s comments last week about a borderless world once again show us an underlying agenda to establish a one-world government. In this week’s boralogue John looks at the global governance push throughout history and shows how it explains the European migrant controversy today and the global elites’ opposition to Great Britain’s potential exit from the EU.

The concepts of gender identity and discrimination have transitioned from definitive to fluid recently with debates over who gets to marry whom and what bathroom should be used. Jenna Ellis (www.jennaellis.org), Attorney and Law Professor at Colorado Christian University rejoins us to discuss how the law is rendered meaningless through redefining terms and implores Christians and conservatives to fight to preserve truth or risk losing constitutional rights.

John takes a moment to give an update on the persecution of Christians around the world as well as comment on the failures of socialist economies.

Are Christians leaving the Holy Land and if so, what is the reason? We welcome Dr. Lawrence Franklin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org), former military attaché at the U.S. embassy in Israel, who examines Christian persecution in and expulsion from predominately Muslim countries, which reveals Islam’s plan to eradicate Christianity completely.

John’s quote of the week:
“Venezuela under Nicholas Maduro, successor of Hugo Chavez, is in a state of shipwreck. This is where all socialism winds up – when finally the vampire bleeds the victim dry, there’s nothing more you can do, and chaos usually follows.”

Shifting Definitions

Are the politically correct powers that be delusional or are they lying? In this week’s boralogue, John shows that despite their assurances, nuclear deals like the one with North Korea and Iran will fail, Islamic terrorism will affect the United States, and the quicksand that is the Chinese economy will have a profound effect around the world. In order for these narratives to work, politicos must shift the meaning of longstanding definitions, which they hope will keep our eroding foundation from collapsing.

Protesters have taken over an Oregon wildlife refuge after a pair of ranchers was imprisoned by the government. Reed Hopper (www.pacificlegal.org), Environmental Law Attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation, analyzes similar cases where government agencies have overstepped their bounds and violated due process, highlighting the battle between environmentalism and property rights.

Why is our Constitution being interpreted so differently now than when it was created? Jenna Ellis (www.jennaellis.org), Attorney and Law Professor at Colorado Christian University, joins us to discuss the importance of objective morality, showing that historically, the judiciary has shifted Constitutional definitions, resulting in secular humanistic ideals that have been codified into law. We must bring back the true moral authority that our Founding Fathers infused into our Constitution.

John’s quote of the week:
“Mulit-culti doesn’t work. The new culti has no intention of merging into the old culti. There are always problems with violence coming in from the new culti, which means the old culti wants to violentize it back. That just means we don’t talk about it because you can’t say it. So we’ll just call it a giant no-go zone for free speech.”

Back from holiday hiatus is our Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
