Monopoly is Not a Game

Never despise the day of small things because small things are telling us where we are headed. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at several stories including intersectionality problems in the Netherlands, Justin Trudeau’s brown face controversy, and believe it or not, a seminary where prayers are offered to plants. Everyone makes moral pronouncements, but they come from a pitching deck of relativistic ideas and will not work. Reform, therefore, is needed.

A plan has been afoot for more than 70 years to indoctrinate children in schools in order to push the global government narrative. Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), Foreign Correspondent for The New American, shows us that parents can’t compete with the intense indoctrination and gives some alternatives to public education.

John takes a moment to focus on our economy, playing a segment from the McAlvany Weekly Commentary. David McAlvany and Kevin Orrick of International Collectors Associates (www.mcalvanyica.com) discuss negative interest rates and their effect on central banks and the economy.

With social media companies virtually controlling our entire online experience, are users forced to agree with them just to have a voice? Data Network Architect Russ White (www.mindmatters.ai) is back with us to examine the physical infrastructure of the internet and how social media companies have monopolized the entire internet, even news sources.

John’s quote of the week:
The elites were talking about world government long before people began yelling about conspiracy theories. The problem was changing the minds of the people. How would you do that? You would use the public education system.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play John’s interview with Spokane radio legend Tom Read on his program It Seems To Me. Tom and John discuss journalistic standards and how mainstream media today are not living up to them. Included in that are examples of media bias such as slanting headlines and manipulating interviews to only include what supports their narrative.

Not So Clear Conscience

What can we learn about the media from their coverage of certain events over the past few weeks? In this week’s boralogue, John compares media reporting from the New Zealand mosque shootings and the Sri Lankan church bombings. Coverage depends on narrative – if the story supports the narrative, they run with it. If it doesn’t, they ignore it. That is your progressive news media in the 21st century.

Gender reassignment procedures are on the rise in Canada and some children are being taken away from protesting parents. Doctors are being forced to choose between their jobs and their consciences. Emilie Kao (www.heritage.org), Director of the Devos Center for Religion and Civil Society at the Heritage Foundation, joins us to discuss.

Trump Derangement Syndrome has reached a fever pitch in several areas of society including the media. We welcome author Blake Harris (www.blakejharris.com) to the show to give us a liberal’s point of view. He shows how those who support President Trump face repercussions – even if they are democrats, and he gives examples of how journalistic standards have fallen by the wayside.

Public schools need reforming but is there a need for reform in Christian schools as well? Ray Moore, Jr. (www.exodusmandate.org), Founder and Board President at Exodus Mandate, returns after many years away to discuss the need for reform, the surprising lack of support from pastors, and a hope for an eventual stop to the indoctrination of children.

John and Steve finish out the program this week discussing 2020 election theories and how the investigation battle between the Republicans and the Democrats is in full swing. Who will come out the winner remains to be seen but for one party, the smear campaign may boomerang back on them.

John’s quote of the week:
There is a doctrinal erosion going on across the board in religious institutions. It keeps going on generation after generation. Christians always arrive thinking they are going to fight a war, not realizing they are simply engaged in a losing mop-up operation for a war that they lost thirty years ago when they didn’t fight it.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play a couple of interviews from August 2012, one concerning the enforcement of blasphemy laws, the other a story about a Colorado business being forced to comply with government standards against their religious beliefs. The battle for freedom of speech and freedom of religion are ones we must win.

Lessons From the North

With crazy stories inundating us every day, how did we get to this point? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at history from the protests of the 1960s through the blossoming of the internet age to where we are now with late-term abortion laws and media people not living up to journalistic standards. There are those who are tired of being choked by political correctness and they are fighting back.

If we’re not careful, the socialistic healthcare system in Canada could make its way south. Author and retired businessman William Gairdner (www.williamgairdner.ca) joins us from the Great White North to discuss the costs and rules of free healthcare for all and how some, usually the well-connected, get around those rules.

The Pope just signed an agreement with Sheik Ahmad el-Tayeb, the grand imam of al-Azhar. Author and Middle East expert Raymond Ibrahim (www.raymondibrahim.com) contrasts the watered-down language of the agreement with the Sheik’s speeches about it in Arabic. He also dissects the media and liberal adoration of Islam and the Pope.

Is the national emergency declaration on the border wall a good idea? It depends on who you ask. Dr. Merrill Matthews (www.ipi.org), Resident Scholar with the Institute for Policy Innovation, examines partisan hypocrisy over the execution of emergency declarations and what that may mean for the future.

John’s quote of the week:
“The education system is broken; it’s being run by the people who broke it. But they actively, aggressively oppose any kind of reform which would fix it. Yet these same politicians send their kids to private schools. They don’t want to put themselves in the very system they’re smashing down on everyone else.”

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview John gave last week on Stand Up For The Truth with Mike LeMay on Q90FM in Wisconsin (standupforthetruth.com). John and Mike discuss political correctness in both society and the Church as well as the increase of being a victim and how it has become a badge of honor, and the best ways to get back on track with Christianity in the west.

Racism is back in the spotlight after the events in Charlottesville. Is the fight against it being waged intelligently? In this week’s extended boralogue, John looks at what’s really causing division in our country, the similar roots of fascism and Marxism, and the need to uphold freedom of speech for everyone. Taking down statues isn’t going to solve racism. The freedom for everyone to exchange ideas and discuss the problem may.

Media meltdowns have increased exponentially since last November and it’s tarnishing the reputation of the fourth estate. Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Goodwin (www.nypost.com), Columnist for the New York Post, examines the lowering or at times complete elimination of journalistic standards when it comes to coverage of President Trump. Will the media recover? And should they?

Government control of healthcare can lead to a slide toward totalitarianism. We are joined by constitutional law attorney Jenna Ellis (www.ccu.edu) who reviews the Charlie Gard case in the UK and shows that government is usurping parents’ rights when it comes to their children. She also looks at religious freedom court cases involving cake bakers and gay weddings.

John’s quote of the week:
“When an issue goes stale or becomes dangerous, it is dropped like a hot potato and they move on to the next issue about which they are outraged, forgetting of course the previous outrage which is no longer apparently outrageous. When we have pulled down Confederate statues, they will not be pacified but will move on to the next outrage.”

Coming up in Section 6, John discusses a novel idea; how about free speech for everyone, regardless of their views and beliefs? Plus, what’s the best way to fight hate? It’s simpler than you think. John also covers the tactic of framing the debate and why the Left always seems to get the upper hand. Lastly, the topic of the history of the various reforms and splits in the Christian church. You won’t want to miss this!
