What happens when you mesh motives and methodology together? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how inseparable both the desire to stop more shootings and the need for more gun control laws have become. During the national walkout, some students were punished and others ostracized if they refused to participate in what amounted to a gun control rally. Advocates of gun control are ironically holding up the first amendment in order to tear down the second.

Where can we find the real collusion story? Mary Fanning (www.theamericanreport.org), Investigator for the American Report and the Center for Security Policy, reports on the details of a plan to store a secret cache of weapons at a port in Florida that involves Pakistan, Russia, and the Obama administration. The media’s spotlight is definitely pointed elsewhere on this story.

The media spotlight has also turned away from non-leftist issues happening in South Africa. Dr. Johan Burger (www.issafrica.org), Senior Research Consultant with the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria, examines the rise in crime in South Africa, especially against white farmers who are being targeted for supposed links to apartheid.

Free speech on campuses is becoming more endangered every week. Steve Amundson (www.counterjihadcoalition.org), Founder of the Counter Jihad Coalition, describes how he was kicked out of a seminar about Islam because the moderators did not like certain questions being asked. Free speech protections and hate speech regulations are coming to a head in the near future. Let’s hope freedom wins.

John’s quote of the week:
When two ideas are fused together, it becomes very difficult socially to agree with one and disagree with the other without incurring social stigmatization, because in the public mind – as they’re presented by the propagandists – they are seen as one and the same.

In this week’s Section 6, we play for you an interview John gave on the podcast Stand Up For the Truth with Mike LeMay on March 13. Topics discussed include Donald Trump’s strategies, Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” attacks on freedom of speech, Europe’s cultural decline, and the Left’s outright bitterness toward President Trump.

What can we learn from tragedies like the Florida shooting? The media will always play the same old gun control script, for one. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the arguments made by gun control advocates and points out their logical fallacies. Doing the same failing thing each time won’t work. We need to change the moral foundation of society, not do away with guns.

In the wake of the FISA scandal as well as the missed red flags in Florida, what is happening to our intelligence community? Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Research at the Center for Security Policy – and a former CIA agent – discusses the lack of proper training within intelligence agencies and the willful blindness due to a PC worldview.

Can an American town enact an ordinance that stifles religious freedom? Mike LeMay (www.standupforthetruth.com), General Manager of Q90 FM radio near Green Bay, recounts how the city of De Pere, Wisconsin has done just that, potentially requiring churches to engage in practices against their religious beliefs. He and others are filing a lawsuit to stop it.

We welcome Paul Van Noy (www.candlelight.org), Pastor at Candlelight Fellowship in northern Idaho, who recounts his trip to Thailand to visit Pastor X, touring the immigration detention centers, and seeing firsthand how donation moneys are being spent.

After analyzing comments from economist Lawrence Kotlikoff, who discusses the reality of social spending debt and offers a possible solution to the problem, John chats with Dr. Myles Schneider (www.mylesofhealth.com), a foot and ankle doctor in Virginia, about alternatives to Obamacare popping up in some states and healthy solutions to lower costs.

John’s quote of the week:
“Foolish people double down on bad arguments and they implement double the number of bad ideas in law, which of course do nothing to make future situations safer and oftentimes make them worse while tangling other people up in the law of unintended consequences. This is called putting lipstick on a pig.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the lead up to the school shooting in Florida. John then goes on to look at news from the Middle East including the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran and Syria on the other. Some schools in the Middle East are teaching students to hate and become martyrs. John asks the hard questions no one else seems to want to pose.

When mass shootings occur, we often ask ‘how did we get here?’ In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the transformation of society that began more than 100 years ago, beginning with the elimination of religion from schools that has snowballed into the immoral choices and institutions we see today.

Drain the swamp! Donald Trump campaigned on this slogan last year. How is the swamp draining going nearly nine months into his presidency? Soeren Kern (www.soerenkern.com), Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, discusses President Trump’s efforts to distance himself from the global elites and those in his inner circle who are working hard to stop him.

We welcome back historian and Former Senior Associate at the Department of Education Dr. Dennis Cuddy (www.newswithviews.com) who examines the historical buildup of the swamp and the sometimes overt, sometimes secret plans of the globalists.

John and Steel Producer Steve Schiller chat about inconsistencies in the media and the latest call for gun control following the massacre this week in Las Vegas.

Why did this happen? It’s a question often asked after tragedies like this. Mike LeMay (www.standupforthetruth.com), General Manager of Q90FM Radio in Wisconsin, asserts that gun control laws and increased regulations will not solve anything. What will? Transforming your heart and mind by returning to a moral foundation.

John’s quote of the week:
Every time we have some tragic event, people start wringing their hands and then propose we have all of these laws to prevent people from speaking, from acting, from doing whatever their rights are. All this to try and fix the problems the very same group of people or their predecessors who are shouting for all these laws actually created to get us into this problem in the first place.

This week on our Section 6 Intelligence Brief: The stages of a bull market, an analysis of the current tax reform proposal, homosexuality and the Islamic world, a look at school choice and the direction of education, and the millennial mindset.

Given all the evidence emerging after the shootings in Orlando, who should be held to blame for the massacre? The media would have you believe the answer is Christians. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at clear bias in media and leftist groups as the massive spin machine holds America in contempt – not ISIS or Islamic terrorism. Christians and conservatives are the guilty parties. For leftist elites, they’re in it to spin it, not to espouse the truth.

There’s a thin line between eliminating hate speech and suppressing free speech. Joshua Philipp (www.theepochtimes.com), Reporter for the Epoch Times, discusses how Facebook and Twitter continue to allow the promotion of terrorism on social media, but those who dare to expose terrorism with the truth have their accounts suspended. Traditional views of morality are changing which allow for policies like these to gain a foothold.

The Obama administration’s negotiation with Iran regarding their nuclear program is now being exposed as a package of secret side deals and lies fed to the American public. Meira Svirsky (www.clarionproject.org), Editor at the Clarion Project, examines the futility of snap back provisions in connection with European business as well as ineffective inspection policies thanks to a back room deal between Iran and the IAEA.

With talk of Islamic terror and the motivations behind the Orlando shooting, we welcome back to the program Daniel Akbari (www.stophonorkilling.com), attorney and expert on Islamic law to have an honest discussion regarding what the Koran and supporting documents actually say concerning sharia law and the difference between Muslims and Islamists.

John’s quote of the week:
“Expressions of support and sympathy from Christians and Christian churches which poured in (after the Orlando shootings) were rejected by the gay media because, of course, the Christians – not radical Islam – were responsible for this mess in the first place. Oh and by the way, if you believe in the Second Amendment, you might be responsible for it too.”
