Are we headed for another Civil War given our tremendous polarization and distaste for compromise? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how we go to this point of no compromise and how, with the issue of abortion, there is a fundamental difference in worldview that makes it difficult to come together in agreement. If no one backs down, we could be headed for trouble.

Technology in the right hands can work wonders. In the wrong hands, however, it can be a nightmare. Steven Mosher (www.pop.org), President of the Population Research Institute, analyzes China’s social credit score system and describes the tactics used to impugn those with low scores. He goes on to discuss some horrific details behind China’s organ harvesting business.

Social media outlets are abusing technology in the form of censorship against politically incorrect views. Ashkhen Kazaryan (www.techfreedom.org), Director of Civil Liberties at TechFreedom, examines the fight for free speech and questions whether a social media outlet is a public commons or a private company.

How is socialism portrayed in our education system today? Timothy Snowball (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation, discusses the stark difference between socialism and capitalism and shows how students in the West are being fed a false narrative that socialism is preferable to free markets.

John and Steve finish off the show this week looking at the impending “Deal of the Century,” the Trump administration’s proposed peace plan between the Israelis and the Palestinians. How do the media, Western countries, Arab countries, and Israel’s upcoming re-election in September fit in to the Deal of the Century?

John’s quote of the week:
It was 50 years ago that people could disagree and compromise on things. But why is compromise difficult today? The answer to that is: worldview. Before, we had a common worldview working toward different objectives. Today we have a collision of two different worldviews.

In this week’s Extras segment, we go back to August 2008 with Paul Mladjenovic, an investor who grew up in communist Croatia, who advocates for free markets because he and his family have seen the toll that socialism takes on society.

The country and especially the media have been in quite the frenzy this past week. In this week’s boralogue, John goes back to the predictions he made about the media after the 2016 election and shows how we are reliving those moments now. There is a shock post-Mueller report but John predicts that the media will continue to behave as it has moving forward.

Far-left liberals are pushing many issues that go against America’s founding documents. Constitutional law attorney Jenna Ellis (www.washingtonexaminer.com) joins us to discuss the merits of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact as well as packing the Supreme Court. Liberals keep moving the goalposts, slowly building popularity among their narratives.

One-worlders are at it again, this time using climate to further their cause. Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), Foreign Correspondent for The New American, examines the UN’s push for global governance as well as push-back from many scientists, along with President Trump, who are taking on the climate alarmists.

A few states are foreclosing on property owners who owe back taxes and keeping the proceeds from the sale. Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation describes how one of her clients lost his home to this practice and compares it to the problems with civil asset forfeiture.

John finishes up this week reading a century-old poem by Rudyard Kipling that mentions empty promises, like those of modern day socialists, will never pan out because at some point, reality becomes real and the fantasy is just that: a fantasy.

John’s quote of the week:
What we have been told repeatedly is the need for the radical transformation of America. ‘What does that mean?’ is the first thing you have to ask. You have to learn how to read what they’re telling you – then you’ll know where you’re going. And with radical transformation, it’s a socialist, idealized government where we have equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview John gave this week on Stand Up For The Truth on Q90FM Radio from Wisconsin where he discusses, among other things, the Marxist tactics of the Left as well as various aspects concerning the Christian Church.

There are a lot of issues circulating in the world right now and very few of them are accurately reported on. In this week’s boralogue, John jumps from issue to issue, covering the possible halting of the Fed’s rate raising cycle, how support for Mahmoud Abbas is down and support for Israel is up, and the agreement between the Vatican and communist China that seems a little too familiar. Worldviews can somehow be both popular and dysfunctional at the same time.

From the Declaration of Independence to the Constitution, this country was founded on unity, but today it seems to be all about division. We welcome back author and historian Daniel Mallock (www.newenglishreview.org) to discuss the Alinsky tactics of division and constant friction that lead to chaos and loss of freedom. It’s up to us to identify these threats and push back on them.

Europe has also come a long way ideologically, though they are further down the road to division. Writer and retired oncologist David Stolinsky (www.stolinsky.com) analyzes the differences in Europe, both past and present and shows how leftist ideologies are gaining a foothold in America in his home state of California.

The term ‘navigable’ has changed dramatically over the past 10 years. Anthony Francois (www.pacificlegal.org), Senior Attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation, examines how the EPA has deemed tiny draining ditches on private property as navigable and how the Clean Water Act has gone from fighting pollution to becoming a land grab for the government.

John’s quote of the week:
Governments always act in their own best interest, not necessarily in the interests of the people. Because of that, they are most likely to define out of existence those things that would criticize the government itself. Lo and behold, this is exactly what we find happening in Europe.”

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at Russia’s recent skirmish with Ukrainian ships off the Black Sea, failing worldviews in Europe, a mysterious wave-like rumble around the world, as well as other science and legal news stories.

What are the massive gorillas in the room that no one is talking about? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the murder of Jamal Khashoggi as well as the caravan marching north through Mexico. There are narratives in those stories and others that are drowning out the truth. When truth becomes a casualty and we can’t discuss what’s really going on, the freedoms of America that so many are marching toward may soon diminish.

Is it possible to have a real, fact-based conversation about climate and carbon taxes? Climate alarmists don’t want to talk about it, but we will. Dr. Tim Ball (www.drtimball.com), Chief Science Advisor at the International Climate Science Coalition, joins us to discuss how most climate data isn’t measured correctly and how carbon taxes will not achieve the goals set by their proponents.

Should property owners have a right to defend themselves in court against government agencies? Christina Martin (www.pacificlegal.org), Attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation, describes how one of her clients was denied access to federal court after a state agency declared part of her property open to the public.

Is there a link between organ donation and euthanasia? Wesley Smith (www.discovery.org), Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute, shows how doctors in other countries are removing viable organs from live patients for harvesting and how many medical professionals are now given the choice between administering euthanasia to a patient they are there to heal or losing their medical license.

John’s quote of the week:
“Do you really think we’ve had a fair climate change debate – the debate that Al Gore declared closed? No, it’s never been held. And in those few cases where small localized debates have been held, the climate alarmists are losing.”

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve comment on listener emails and discuss the Jamal Khashoggi murder and cover up, President Trump’s modus operandi when it comes to treaties and accords, and Steve briefly tries on a tin foil hat while speculating on the spate of suspicious packages sent to left-leaning politicians (and CNN) this week.
