What happens when you mesh motives and methodology together? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at how inseparable both the desire to stop more shootings and the need for more gun control laws have become. During the national walkout, some students were punished and others ostracized if they refused to participate in what amounted to a gun control rally. Advocates of gun control are ironically holding up the first amendment in order to tear down the second.

Where can we find the real collusion story? Mary Fanning (www.theamericanreport.org), Investigator for the American Report and the Center for Security Policy, reports on the details of a plan to store a secret cache of weapons at a port in Florida that involves Pakistan, Russia, and the Obama administration. The media’s spotlight is definitely pointed elsewhere on this story.

The media spotlight has also turned away from non-leftist issues happening in South Africa. Dr. Johan Burger (www.issafrica.org), Senior Research Consultant with the Institute for Security Studies in Pretoria, examines the rise in crime in South Africa, especially against white farmers who are being targeted for supposed links to apartheid.

Free speech on campuses is becoming more endangered every week. Steve Amundson (www.counterjihadcoalition.org), Founder of the Counter Jihad Coalition, describes how he was kicked out of a seminar about Islam because the moderators did not like certain questions being asked. Free speech protections and hate speech regulations are coming to a head in the near future. Let’s hope freedom wins.

John’s quote of the week:
When two ideas are fused together, it becomes very difficult socially to agree with one and disagree with the other without incurring social stigmatization, because in the public mind – as they’re presented by the propagandists – they are seen as one and the same.

In this week’s Section 6, we play for you an interview John gave on the podcast Stand Up For the Truth with Mike LeMay on March 13. Topics discussed include Donald Trump’s strategies, Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” attacks on freedom of speech, Europe’s cultural decline, and the Left’s outright bitterness toward President Trump.

What is truth? In this week’s boralogue, Johns examines church members who are claiming to be Christians but don’t believe in Christ and atheist ministers who still want to lead their church congregations. Why be part of a belief system you don’t believe in? There is such a thing as absolute truth, even for those who claim there isn’t. If you believe in truth, it makes a demand upon you that you live according to that truth. But politicians and many in the church today adhere to a politically correct version of reality that stands in opposition to actual truth. One day they will come to realize — as all of us will — that truth is reality and it always wins out.

We continue our thread this week highlighting Christian persecution and welcome to the program Nasir Bhatti (www.pakistanchristiancongress.org), President of the Pakistan Christian Congress. He examines the delays that Christians encounter in receiving refugee status from the United Nations and touches on the immigration problems facing Europe.

“The nine most terrifying words in the English language,” former President Ronald Reagan once said, “are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’ “One might urge the government to look up the word ‘help’ in the dictionary. The EPA, an element of said government, has launched a campaign to control every drop of water in the United States, even at the expense of property rights and it’s causing a retain in many states.

Seton Motley (www.lessgovernment.org), President of Less Government and hydrologist Dr. Jay Lehr (www.heartland.org), Science Director at the Heartland Institute, discuss the agency’s overreach and regulations and propose a plan to phase out federal control in favor of state responsibility. Can it be implemented or will it slowly drown in a sea of bureaucracy?

John finishes up with a behind the scenes look at Roman Catholicism, papal infallibility, and the weight of authority behind papal teaching and how that is affecting geopolitics.

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world. This week, John takes a look at capitalism and the refugee crisis in Europe.

Hardball Questions

We have always urged you to pray for Christians who are being persecuted for their faith around the world. John relates in his boralogue a few examples of Christian leaders or congregants who are either blindsided by violence or face death for their choice of faith. In Pakistan, a mob looted homes and attempted to burn a church after a mentally challenged Christian man was alleged to have burned a copy of the Quran. An Ethiopian man was ordered to kill two Christian pastors or his children would die. From Sudan to Nigeria to India and beyond, persecution of Christians is on the rise. They need our prayers.

If someone cheats a little, do you call them on it? Or do you continue turning a blind eye as the cheating persists? Iran is cheating and the U.S. is doing nothing about it. Shoshana Bryen (www.jewishpolicycenter.org), Senior Director at the Jewish Policy Center, reveals that Iran is end running our nuclear agreement by attempting to enrich uranium without the use of centrifuges. She also examines the Vatican’s recognition of a Palestinian State, which is less favorable to the Palestinians than many think and is probably more of an effort to defend the rights of Christians in the Middle East, or Palestine at least.

When it comes to the U.S. embassy attack in Benghazi in 2012, the hardball questions still remain unanswered. Arnold Ahlert (www.frontpagemag.com), op-ed writer for Front Page Magazine, explores the connection between Benghazi and Syria, cover ups by the Obama administration, and how Hilary Clinton’s many scandals may affect her chances in next year’s presidential election.

If you attempt to bring Christians, Jews, and Muslims together in a spirit of love and tolerance, is it really possible when one group’s core belief involves hatred toward the other two? We welcome back to the program retired LAPD officer and instructor Dr. Stephen Kirby (www.islamseries.org) to examine the Omaha Tri-Faith Initiative and its pledge to heal religious differences. It is permissible for Muslims to lie and pretend to get along with people from other faiths, but “progressive” Muslims don’t adhere to that. When faced with either duplicity or a false doctrine of Islam, is it really a tri-faith initiative?
