How did the terms ‘Palestinian people’ and ‘Israeli occupation’ originate? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the history of Israel, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza along with the people groups that have occupied those areas. It wasn’t until Israel gained control of the area as a nation that the plight of the Palestinians and occupied territories became controversial issues.

The mental health of children is being tracked in schools and many parents aren’t even aware. Alex Newman (www.thenewamerican.com), Correspondent with The New American, analyzes how school systems are defining mental health, how children are being indoctrinated, and the effect religion plays in education.

Science textbooks are being stripped of anything that contradicts evolution. Jonathan Wells (www.discovery.org), Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute, discusses how God has been methodically removed from classrooms and textbooks over the past few decades and how efforts to turn it around are slow to materialize.

Finally, if we are going to talk about Islam and sharia law, we should know exactly what they are. Bill Warner (www.politicalislam.com), Director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam shares his knowledge of Islam and its system of laws and shows that despite the efforts of politically correct elites to sanitize sharia, the freedoms we share in this country would erode under Islamic law.

John’s quote of the week:
“When we talk about mental health (in schools) today, we’re not just talking about whether they have serious disorders or other things which need addressing, but quite frequently whether or not they are believing politically correct attitudes. (Those with) politically incorrect attitudes are perceived as being mentally ill.”

This week in our Section 6 intelligence Brief: the hypocrisy of Leftist views, the possibilities of a California secession, the problem of government overreach, and the looming Net Neutrality battle.

As Saudi Arabia’s government slides towards a fall and Yassir Arafat’s grip on the Palestinian “government” gradually fails, terrorist groups such as Hamas and Al Qaeda bide their time with anticipation of an opportune moment to act.  Avi Lipkin takes a brief look at changes underway in the Middle East.

Then half way around the world, why is the Mossad snooping around New Zealand? Prime Minister Helen Clark is awfully upset but perhaps it’s tied to the fact that New Zealand’s passports provide easy entry to numerous countries in the West, a fact which makes them desirable for terrorists.  Jeremy Compton reports from Wellington.

Finally a survey among US chiefs of police reveals almost startling attitudes towards an armed citizenry and the war on drugs.  Hint:
it isn’t the viewpoint the PC crowd would like you to have.

Since we’re still on vacation, John skips the boralogue today — and there is much rejoicing.
