Are we seeing a double standard regarding refugee policies in Europe? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the case of Asia Bibi, who has been denied asylum in the UK due to fears of violent protests. Those who would protest, however, are the very same ones who are protected and against whom no one is allowed to speak. We can learn from Europe’s dysfunction, but only if we are willing.

There is quite a difference in the perception of law enforcement between 2008 and today. Eric Reade (www.ccs.spokane.edu), former Officer in Charge of the Threat Assessment Unit for the Los Angeles Police Department, discusses the rise in violence against police officers in the last 10 years and stresses the importance of looking at facts, not rhetoric, when it comes to Black Lives Matter and the previous administration.

Now that the dust has settled – somewhat – from the midterms, we welcome back author and political forecaster Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) who reviews his midterm predictions and examines the irregularities in Florida’s recount ballot counting.

John and Producer Steve follow up on Mr. Lameiro’s interview looking at the possible strategies behind the Democrat recounts in Florida, which could be related to the Senate’s upcoming slew of conservative judicial appointments.

John’s quote of the week:
“In any situation you have to ask, ‘did this happen,’ ‘were rights violated,’ and ‘how do we deal with that?’ It has to be on a level playing field. Once you distort that going one way or the other, we don’t really have equal rights and we’ll never get there. It isn’t a matter of race; it’s a matter of humanity.”

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the California wildfires, Brexit mania in Europe, globalism vs sovereignty, and the reason for the visceral reactions to Brexit and President Trump. And it wouldn’t be the episode before Thanksgiving without John giving you his famous cranberry sauce recipe.

Loeffler’s Famous Cranberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries.
  • 2 cups brown sugar.
  • 1 cup apricot brandy.

Add all ingredients to a saucepan on medium to high heat and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, leave uncovered. Stir occasionally and let simmer until it reaches the desired thickness and the cranberries are fully cooked (about 1 hr. on very low heat). Makes 6 to 10 servings. Serve it hot or chilled.

From our family to yours; we hope you enjoy this special treat this Thanksgiving!

Election mania is dominating the airwaves but there are some sobering stories surrounding the economy and Christian persecution that are flying under the media radar. In this week’s boralogue, John reminds us of the economic cliff on the horizon and then gives us an update on Asia Bibi’s blasphemy case in Pakistan and the latest with Pastor X and his family. There are major changes in both cases so please be in prayer.

With an impending debt crisis looming, how long can we continue to live our normal everyday lives? We look forward with author and former magazine writer James Kunstler (www.kunstler.com) who describes what life could look like if we go through another monetary crash and possible food shortage. He also examines indoctrination in schools that lead to ideologically bad decisions.

With the midterm elections just a few days away, what can we expect from voters and what will the political landscape looks like on November 7? We look forward with author and political forecaster Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) who looks at issues that could affect the election, a better way to forecast the results, and the very real possibility of a more conservative Congress.

John’s quote of the week:
One thing we have seen clearly since the last election has been the disrespect of the progressive elites for the current system. They are willing to call anyone who opposes their ideas idiots, phobes, racists, they will deny you your rights and demand that you honor all these new rights that they make up out of thin air and if you don’t, you know what happens. You have to remember that at these elections.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss free speech violations in Europe, President Trump’s pattern with both the media and with world events, and the massive hypocrisy with the media when it comes to civility in politics.

What can we learn from tragedies like the Florida shooting? The media will always play the same old gun control script, for one. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the arguments made by gun control advocates and points out their logical fallacies. Doing the same failing thing each time won’t work. We need to change the moral foundation of society, not do away with guns.

In the wake of the FISA scandal as well as the missed red flags in Florida, what is happening to our intelligence community? Clare Lopez (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Research at the Center for Security Policy – and a former CIA agent – discusses the lack of proper training within intelligence agencies and the willful blindness due to a PC worldview.

Can an American town enact an ordinance that stifles religious freedom? Mike LeMay (www.standupforthetruth.com), General Manager of Q90 FM radio near Green Bay, recounts how the city of De Pere, Wisconsin has done just that, potentially requiring churches to engage in practices against their religious beliefs. He and others are filing a lawsuit to stop it.

We welcome Paul Van Noy (www.candlelight.org), Pastor at Candlelight Fellowship in northern Idaho, who recounts his trip to Thailand to visit Pastor X, touring the immigration detention centers, and seeing firsthand how donation moneys are being spent.

After analyzing comments from economist Lawrence Kotlikoff, who discusses the reality of social spending debt and offers a possible solution to the problem, John chats with Dr. Myles Schneider (www.mylesofhealth.com), a foot and ankle doctor in Virginia, about alternatives to Obamacare popping up in some states and healthy solutions to lower costs.

John’s quote of the week:
“Foolish people double down on bad arguments and they implement double the number of bad ideas in law, which of course do nothing to make future situations safer and oftentimes make them worse while tangling other people up in the law of unintended consequences. This is called putting lipstick on a pig.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the lead up to the school shooting in Florida. John then goes on to look at news from the Middle East including the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran and Syria on the other. Some schools in the Middle East are teaching students to hate and become martyrs. John asks the hard questions no one else seems to want to pose.

Suicide of the West

May peace be upon you – unless you don’t want it to be. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at Mahmoud Abbas’s claim that he is cooperating with the peace process, but in fact the opposite is true. We play speeches by Abbas, Nikki Haley, and the Israeli ambassador to show that there needs to be a peace partner – not someone who refuses to sit at the table and denigrates the other side in his own language.

Logic and reason together with a free flow of ideas and debate should rule the day in society. What’s really happening, however, is quite different. Denis MacEoin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org), Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, examines the ideological inconsistencies among groups who, for example, advocate for feminism or gay rights, but who also praise Islam and Sharia law.

The suicide of the West is occurring north of our border as well. Former Canadian military intelligence officer Tom Quiggin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org) joins us to discuss bias at the Canadian Broadcast Corporation, who favors Islamic platforms and denigrates Christian ones. Hypocrisy abounds among politically correct narratives around the Western world.

John’s quote of the week:
There seems to be a hierarchy of violations that makes no sense to any logical person. They will be screaming about someone who won’t bake a wedding cake, and yet they will be absolutely mum about gays being thrown off buildings, hung, attacked, etc. It’s very strange for anyone who wonders what is going on.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the recent Russian indictments plus John gives a persecution update, including an update on Pastor X. Don’t miss the story about a mother jailed for baptizing her daughter in North Carolina – which launches John into a brief lesson on Church history.
