Freedom of speech is paramount in a free society but it is being threatened on several fronts. How did we get here? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at our journey from a free society under God to the rise of existentialism to postmodernism to our current struggle with multiculturalism. Reality is catching up with the contradictions of the elites which means they will push their ideologies that much harder. Will we stand up and push back?

Are aliens and UFOs real and if so, what exactly are they? Gary Bates (www.alienintrusion.com), CEO at the U.S. office of Creation Ministries, promotes his new movie, Alien Intrusion, and discusses both the scientific and religious explanations of UFOs as well as the troubling admission recently by the government that there is in fact something to see here.

What are the roots of multiculturalism and how far have they burrowed into western society? Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Anthropology Professor at McGill University, gives examples of multiculturalism in the West and shows how, despite its very contradictory nature, it influences many aspects of society.

John’s quote of the week:
As soon as you begin looking at the constructs and assumptions of multiculturalism, you discover that most of them are self-contradicting – such as, ‘we believe in diversity, unless you’re not diverse like we’re diverse’ or ‘we believe in freedom of speech, but not the kind of speech you want to have,’ or ‘we believe in being tolerant, but we’re not tolerant of people who don’t agree with our idea of what tolerance should be.‘”

In this week’s Section 6 intelligence brief, we give an update on Kelvin Cochran’s ongoing freedom of speech and religion case. Next, we turn to an analysis of Israel, the UN, and President Trump’s Jerusalem declaration. Then, John gives a timely update on the Middle East chessboard. And finally, what is the strain on the power grid during this winter’s cold spell?

The Illogic Chronicles

The illogic chronicles have been in full swing this past year as hypocrisy abounds and common sense is ignored. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at California, fake news, and Vatican bishops who are in favor of global warming and gun control. When logic is tossed aside, chaos ensues but reality will eventually win out. It’s up to us to be prepared and stay true. Plus John analyzes Tom Steyer’s call for impeachment in our clip of the week.

Are social media sites consistent in their enforcement of “community standards?” Ben Weingarten (www.benweingarten.com), Founder and CEO of ChangeUp Media, shows how YouTube and Google are circumventing the First Amendment via hate speech laws. Their targets: why only conservatives, of course!

Does the UN protect the sovereign equality of all its Members, as its charter states? Attorney and author Joseph Klein (www.frontpagemag.com) discusses how one country – Israel – isn’t quite as equal in the UN’s eyes as other member states. The Organization has endorsed and sometimes funded anti-Israel activities.

John and producer Steve dive into the illogical statements and hypocritical ideas of college professors and media pundits as part of our illogic chronicles series.

Finally, we take a look at why there is no peace in the Middle East. Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Anthropology Professor at McGill University in Montreal joins us and explains where true loyalty lies in the Middle East and how peaceful the region would be if Israel didn’t exist.

John’s quote of the week:
The First Amendment – freedom of speech and religion – is guaranteed. It is joined at the hip with the Second Amendment. If you can destroy the Second Amendment, it’s not going to be far behind before the First goes as well.

In this week’s Section 6: Tax reform that’s really not reform, the Roy Moore sex scandal, calling everything racist – including the national anthem, and advice for winter conditions. We close with a persecution update.

Unusual Alliances

Campaigning for his wife this week, Bill Clinton seemed to disparage Obamacare. Was it a faux pas or a deliberate move? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the lies surrounding Obamacare and reminds us that the goal from the beginning was to establish a government-run single payer health care system. Politicians will once again offer to solve the problem that they caused in the first place.

Why would Black Lives Matter align with anti-Semitic groups, or LGBT associations defend the actions of Muslims? Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Professor at McGill University in Quebec, Canada, discusses intersectionality among “oppressed” groups, multiculturalism versus dissent, and Marxism in academia.

The reality behind taxes, the economy and job numbers is far different than what you’re hearing from either presidential candidate during the debates. David McAlvany (www.mcalvany.com), President and CEO of McAlvany Financial Group, reveals the truth and shows that what you are seeing in the stock market today is nothing but an illusion.

John’s quote of the week:
“Politicians will tell you they feel your pain even when it is they who are causing much of your pain by the rotten policies they’ve implemented. They will say, ‘don’t you care about the poor,’ but it’s the poor who get beaten up the worst when everything is done.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

Forgettism

Loss of identity and purpose can be alarming. John shows us just how alarming in this week’s boralogue as he connects the tragic bombings in Belgium, President Obama’s trip to Cuba, and the competing worldviews in the 2016 U.S. election cycle. There is a purposeful forgetting about where we came from and who we are, and it is causing more forceful worldviews to surface. We must remember.

The primary worldview surfacing to replace freedom and liberty is Marxism. Philip Carl Salzman (www.mcgill.ca), Anthropology Professor at McGill University in Quebec, discusses the century-long infiltration of Marxism in academia and correctly defines two problematic outcomes of it: multiculturalism and social justice.

In an extended boralogue, John exposes the truth behind everyone’s T-shirt hero, Che Guevara and Cuba’s communist history, and shows how socialism needs capitalism to rescue it from its own failures.

Finally, we welcome Michael Curtis (www.polisci.rutgers.edu), Professor Emeritus at Rutgers University, who examines the geopolitics of Russia, the Middle East peace process, and the need for America’s foreign policy to improve.

John’s quote of the week:
“The problem we are having in the West is we are listening to several different narratives of who we are, where we come from, and those values upon which we stand. One of those narratives is a solid one: the original one that stood, created Western civilization, and has lasted for 1500 years, and it still works for anyone who tries it.”

We wish everyone a safe and happy Easter.

We are taking a break from Section 6 this holiday weekend, but it will return next week with analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
