John Loeffler at Candlelight Fellowship

Why are we losing 60 to 80 percent of the youth in churches today? How has postmodernism, and Marxism subverted the minds of this generation? Veteran broadcast journalist and podcaster, John Loeffler, imparts shocking truths about what has been, what is, and what’s in store for today’s Christian. John delivers his speech titled: ‘Better to Light a Candle‘ from January 5th, 2020 at Candlelight Fellowship in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. candlelight.org

Worldview Wars – 4 Part Lecture Series (5 hours)

What is the nature of truth, and why can’t many Christians adequately defend their faith? Why and how is Christianity being marginalized in the public marketplace of ideas? Is there a carefully planned and executed agenda running to wipe out the Christian faith and those who assert absolute truth? We address all these questions and more in this five hour long, four part series.

John Loeffler analyzes the history, strategies, and weaknesses of the competing worldviews of the 19th and 20th century. Philosophers such as Rousseau, Hegel, Kierkegaard, Darwin, Nietzsche, Marx, and Dewey have radically altered western culture through postmodernism, values relativism and dialectical consensus. They have modern-day followers who are bent on destroying the very foundations of Western society.

Identify the moving parts of your worldview and gain insight into these opposing ideologies.  You have a mission to discern the truth. What is truth? Truth is simply: “that which pertains to reality“. Reality is that great equalizer and when reality becomes real there’s no room left for excuses.

Suicide of the West

May peace be upon you – unless you don’t want it to be. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at Mahmoud Abbas’s claim that he is cooperating with the peace process, but in fact the opposite is true. We play speeches by Abbas, Nikki Haley, and the Israeli ambassador to show that there needs to be a peace partner – not someone who refuses to sit at the table and denigrates the other side in his own language.

Logic and reason together with a free flow of ideas and debate should rule the day in society. What’s really happening, however, is quite different. Denis MacEoin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org), Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, examines the ideological inconsistencies among groups who, for example, advocate for feminism or gay rights, but who also praise Islam and Sharia law.

The suicide of the West is occurring north of our border as well. Former Canadian military intelligence officer Tom Quiggin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org) joins us to discuss bias at the Canadian Broadcast Corporation, who favors Islamic platforms and denigrates Christian ones. Hypocrisy abounds among politically correct narratives around the Western world.

John’s quote of the week:
There seems to be a hierarchy of violations that makes no sense to any logical person. They will be screaming about someone who won’t bake a wedding cake, and yet they will be absolutely mum about gays being thrown off buildings, hung, attacked, etc. It’s very strange for anyone who wonders what is going on.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the recent Russian indictments plus John gives a persecution update, including an update on Pastor X. Don’t miss the story about a mother jailed for baptizing her daughter in North Carolina – which launches John into a brief lesson on Church history.

Break the Narrative

170004 01/28/2017

A half century ago, liberals espoused many ideals that today are found among conservatives. In this week’s boralogue, John shows how socialist progressives have successfully infiltrated the Democrat Party, allowing in part American values to shift far to the left. Their narrative is falling apart and in order to break it, liberals of old and conservatives of today need to speak out while there’s still time.

Politically correct narratives still run rampant on college campuses, stifling free speech and discouraging dissent. Robert Oscar Lopez (www.cogwatchpodcast.blogspot.com), Humanities Professor at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary describes his time at Cal State Northridge where, after learning of his conservative opinions, the powers that be on campus waged a sinister campaign against him. He had to choose between tenure and his faith.

Agendas exist in secondary education as well. Drew and Robin Patterson (www.massresistance.org), parents of a middle school girl in Denver, Colorado discuss how they discovered links to pornographic materials on their daughter’s online school account and how they are speaking out and standing up to a stubborn and resistant school system.

How did political correctness become so prevalent in academia and other areas of society? Essayist and former intelligence analyst Stella Morabito (www.stellamorabito.net) examines PC and consensus thinking and how it infects the mind through fear of rejection or of being considered a bigot or racist. In order to combat the Left’s PC think, we need to start having meaningful conversations and work toward breaking the narrative.

John’s quote of the week:
“We can’t have a discourse in this country about hard questions that need to be asked if the very definitions of political correctness put the hard questions outside of the realm of what can be asked and discussed.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

Narrative Trumped

160046 11/12/2016

After the election this week, many across America are asking, what happened? In this week’s boralogue, John shows that reality became real and now the elites and the media are continuing to push the same narrative they’ve always had, only massaged to accommodate for the new reality. It turns out that when you demean a large portion of the population by calling them racists and other names, that portion grows weary and votes out your candidate.

How are college students reacting to Donald Trump’s election? William Nardi (www.therabblerouser.org), current sophomore at Roger Williams University, joins us to show that students are angry, crying, and at times committing vandalism. Part of the problem lies with politically correct narratives that are taught at an early age and carry over into college.

Finally we explore the topic of euthanasia in Europe and Canada. Wesley Smith (www.discovery.org), Senior Director at the Discovery Institute discusses human exceptionalism and medical discrimination and how doctors, hospitals, insurance providers, and progressive policies are removing patient choice from end of life decisions. How soon before this becomes a reality in America?

John’s quote of the week:
“It’s the very fact that they’ve done nothing but called the people in flyover land names with little rational argument that people voted the way they did. They’re sick and tired of it.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

Social Justice

Login to access this full program.

160035 08/27/2016

Have we learned anything by watching the news this summer? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at subjects the media and political candidates refuse to talk about, like the future of our economy, the tendency for politicians to raise taxes and regulate business, and the unpleasant choices we’re left with regarding fiscal policy. When those in power choose instead to focus on toxic narratives, we’re left with deadly consequences.

What is social justice and why is it important? We welcome back economist and author Pat Wood (www.technocracy.news) who discusses the history of social justice, redistribution of wealth, and technocracy as the science behind social engineering. When one group wants what another has, social justice becomes nothing more than legalized covetousness.

Social justice, if left unfettered, will likely result in socialism. Luis Fleischman (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Senior Advisor at the Center for Security Policy, analyzes how socialism has affected Venezuela, where power for the elites has become an end unto itself and the people are the ones who suffer.

John’s quote of the week:
“Politicians will not get out of the way and lower the taxes and lower the regulations to get the small businesses going, to get the jobs going, to get to where we need to get going, going.”

We are taking a vacation this week for our intelligence briefing, Section 6, but John will return next week with analysis on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
