Amidst all the fervor surrounding President Trump’s SCOTUS pick and the future of the Court, it’s important to remember how important our constitutional protections are. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the Middle East peace process, manipulation of news by the international media, and attacks on Christians in Germany. It all serves as a reminder that in this country we are protected by a document that guarantees our freedoms. And it should stay that way.

How has church history and prophecy led to what we are seeing today in geopolitics, especially in the Middle East? Dr. Bill Watson (www.ccu.edu), Professor of History at Colorado Christian University, explains how some Christian churches end up with different viewpoints than other churches in regard to Jews and the end times.

Socialism has never worked whenever it has been implemented in history. Proponents of it now claim they can do it right. Jerry & Marilyn Farnik, Christian missionaries in the Czech Republic, remind us what Czechoslovakia was like under socialist rule in the 1980s and how they are fighting against a lingering atheism still there long after the fall of communism.

John and Producer Steve finish out the show this week discussing a new grassroots movement on Facebook called #WalkAway, where thousands of people are giving their testimonies about walking away from the Democrat Party due to their radical shift in values.

John’s quote of the week:
Those who seem to be intent upon pulling down various parts of constitutional protections – for whatever their cause happens to be – are also the ones who are running around telling you why your rights don’t apply. That should make us very, very nervous.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer look at President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court and how the next few months may play out in Congress. Plus, John discusses the power of prayer and God’s will.

Not Playing the Game

I’m often told when I try to understand political correctness that I’m injecting logic into a situation that has none. In this week’s boralogue, John points out the logical fallacies behind this week’s grandstanding at the University of Missouri. Contradictions abound, rules change to fit narratives, and, as Saul Alinsky pointed out, the issue is never the issue. We’re being forced to play a game we cannot win. The only solution is not to play.

President Obama rejected the Keystone Pipeline permit this week, handing green activists a victory and dealing the oil industry and Canada a loss. Michael Whatley (www.consumerenergyalliance.org), Executive Vice President for Consumer Energy Alliance, examines how thousands of jobs and dollars will not find their way into our economy, and how Canada is waiting for the political winds to shift in America before revisiting the project.

With geopolitics in upheaval, terrorism running rampant, and a worldwide economy on the brink, what else can go wrong on this planet? Michael Snyder (www.theeconomiccollapseblog.com), publisher of the Economic Collapse blog, joins us to discuss not only volcanoes, earthquakes, and flooding, but also the downturn in the economy. With a perfect storm brewing, could we be witnessing prophecy at work?

Finally this week, we dive into deep waters of real life science fiction with John Herlosky (www.asorcerersapprentice.com), author of the book: A Sorcerer’s Apprentice. He shares his experience with remote viewing and the CIA and points out both the differences and similarities between science and religion.

Chasms

Don’t bring your politically correct narratives to a logic fight – you’re not going to win. In this week’s boralogue, John shows that the differences between what some believe and what is actually reality have widened into chasms. He exposes the logical fallacies behind several PC narratives reheated this week following the tragic shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. On the other side of the divide, reality insists on being heard and will eventually win out. If we listen to these illogical narratives, we may find ourselves falling into the chasm.

The Obama administration is bringing in hundreds of thousands of mostly Muslim refugees, but is deporting groups of Christians back to Iraq. Joining us to expand on this is author and Middle East expert Raymond Ibrahim (www.raymondibrahim.com), who reveals the harsh political and religious climate for Christians in the Middle East, mainstream media’s lack of coverage on the issue, and the now true story of ISIS operatives setting up shop in Western countries.

The chasm is widening on many issues, including border security and immigration. For example, if Muslims migrate to the United States and refuse to assimilate into our culture, are we considered racists if we say it won’t work or are we just facing reality? Phyllis Chesler (www.phyllis-chesler.com), Emerita Professor of Psychology at City University of New York, examines these philosophical chasms by looking at Islamic ideology, anti-Semitism past and present, and how freedom of religion is in danger in America in the wake of Islamist immigration.

What happens when new politically correct laws begin trumping the established constitutional rights of freedom of religion and speech? Stephen Krason (www.franciscan.edu), Chair of the Political Science Department at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, discusses the inconsistencies in not only forming these new laws but also in enforcing them to different groups of people. We can fight back by saying, “I will not sit down. I will not shut up!”
