Earlier this week, former NFL player and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez committed suicide in prison. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at suicide from a Christian perspective, showing that we all need the right spiritual guideposts to get us through the rough spots. It’s up to us to fit into God’s plan for us, not the other way around. As long as we have Christ as our guide, we will be OK, no matter what obstacles stand in our way.

What is one thing that a majority of terrorist groups around the world have in common? Cynthia Farahat (www.cynthiafarahat.com), Writing Fellow at the Middle East Forum looks at the granddaddy of all terrorist organizations, the Muslim Brotherhood, who funds many other groups and is conducting a civilization jihad. She also explores historical connections between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Third Reich.

We have reported on the plight of Pakistani Christians for more than a year now. Joining us this week is Reverend James Luke (www.lcceast.ca) of the Lutheran Church Canada near Toronto, a Pakistani-born Christian who discusses his recent speech before the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees and how some in Pakistan are fighting back against the country’s rigid blasphemy laws.

Tensions with North Korea have reached a fevered pitch in recent weeks. Author and American foreign policy expert, Dr. Anne Pierce (www.annerpierce.com) examines the Trump administration’s foreign policy reset to one of peace through strength, the dangers posed by North Korea and its dictator, and possible links with Iran’s nuclear program.

John’s quote of the week:
“If emotions are your guide, you will fail. If your heart is your guide, you will fail. The heart is irrevocably corrupt. If false idols and purposes are your reference points, you will fail. But if the Holy Spirit is your guide, no matter how bad the storm you will succeed and all pain will be turned to joy and a blessing for you.”

This week during our Section 6 Intelligence Briefing, John discusses Islamism in Chechnya, end-times indicators, and goes over recent listener emails.

Double Your Standards, Double Your Fun

A kerfuffle erupted this week involving President Trump, Sweden, and the media. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the media double standard in how they treat Republicans versus Democrats as well as how political correctness has kept what’s really happening in Sweden from being reported. One culture is refusing to assimilate into another and as a result, crime has increased. This is a fact no matter who says it.

If your speech goes against politically correct mantras in Sweden, you could be charged with hate speech – that is unless you are an imam. Writer, journalist, and activist Judith Bergman (www.gatestoneinstitute.org) joins us to discuss the rampant double standard when it comes to speech in Sweden. It appears as if Islamophobia is one of the worst crimes you can commit there. Or at least the worst one to be reported.

Where will hate speech laws in Europe lead? Denis MacEoin (www.gatestoneinstitute.org), Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, analyzes the case against French historian Georges Bensoussan and shows that Europe is on track to be a haven for not only anti-Semitism but criticism of any religion – except of course for Islam. We face serious problems in the future if we don’t face the truth today.

John’s quote of the week:
“Chief of police in the Swedish city of Ostersund three weeks ago urged Swedish women to adjust their behavior in order to avoid being raped by you-know-who but we can’t say it because that would be hateful.”

In today’s Section 6 Intelligence Brief, John examines the Alinsky Method and covers the Dialectic Consensus, Change Agents and how to combat these invasive Leftist tactics. Listen to the entire hour-long Section 6 Intelligence Brief at the end of the weekly show!

Allegations against the presidential candidates are being bandied about by both sides and most people are getting fed up. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the flawed nature of humans, the Left’s disdain for Christianity, and the massive division and bias among media outlets. If you want to get at the heart of what’s really going on, watch what they have done not what they say.

Is it possible to separate criticism of Israel from anti-Semitism? Joshua Muravchik (www.joshuamuravchik.com), Fellow at the World Affairs Institute joins us to discuss anti-Semitic activity within different groups, the UN and its panoply of resolutions against Israel, and an ideological reversal of the Left’s position.

Persecution of Christians and other religious groups is on the rise in Pakistan and Thailand. Jennifer Breedon (www.clarionproject.org), Legal Analyst for the Clarion Project looks at Christian minorities within Muslim-dominated refugee camps and how political correctness gets in the way of U.S. aid to the persecuted.

Finally, we look at Venezuela and the ravages of socialism there. Susan Warner (www.israelolivetree.org), Co-Founder of Olive Tree Ministries rejoins the program and reveals the horrors of everyday life in Venezuela and the Maduro government’s refusal to accept aid from other countries.

John’s quote of the week:
“Government is now very very corrupt. It’s being used as a hammer to suppress free speech and it needs reformation before it drags us all over a cliff. The chief target is going to be the abolishment of freedom of speech and religion, and the battleground is going to be over the First Amendment.”

What is truth? In this week’s boralogue, Johns examines church members who are claiming to be Christians but don’t believe in Christ and atheist ministers who still want to lead their church congregations. Why be part of a belief system you don’t believe in? There is such a thing as absolute truth, even for those who claim there isn’t. If you believe in truth, it makes a demand upon you that you live according to that truth. But politicians and many in the church today adhere to a politically correct version of reality that stands in opposition to actual truth. One day they will come to realize — as all of us will — that truth is reality and it always wins out.

We continue our thread this week highlighting Christian persecution and welcome to the program Nasir Bhatti (www.pakistanchristiancongress.org), President of the Pakistan Christian Congress. He examines the delays that Christians encounter in receiving refugee status from the United Nations and touches on the immigration problems facing Europe.

“The nine most terrifying words in the English language,” former President Ronald Reagan once said, “are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’ “One might urge the government to look up the word ‘help’ in the dictionary. The EPA, an element of said government, has launched a campaign to control every drop of water in the United States, even at the expense of property rights and it’s causing a retain in many states.

Seton Motley (www.lessgovernment.org), President of Less Government and hydrologist Dr. Jay Lehr (www.heartland.org), Science Director at the Heartland Institute, discuss the agency’s overreach and regulations and propose a plan to phase out federal control in favor of state responsibility. Can it be implemented or will it slowly drown in a sea of bureaucracy?

John finishes up with a behind the scenes look at Roman Catholicism, papal infallibility, and the weight of authority behind papal teaching and how that is affecting geopolitics.

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world. This week, John takes a look at capitalism and the refugee crisis in Europe.
