Are we seeing a trend toward online censorship, mostly of conservative speech? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the fake news media and different examples of trial balloons being floated to test the censorship waters. The battle for freedom is underway in the West and it is embodied in the battle against free speech.

Do persecuted Christians receive the proper treatment when seeking asylum? Ken Timmerman (www.iran.org), President and CEO of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran, discusses his new book, ISIS Begins, a work of fiction that describes the real life interactions between Christians and the UN and how Muslims seeking asylum are treated far better.

Has there ever been a President more maligned than Donald Trump? Robert Spencer (www.jihadwatch.org), Director of Jihad Watch is back with us to show that another U.S. President was also treated as a bumpkin, an outsider to politics, and was disliked by both parties. The identity of that President may surprise you.

We revisit the topic of online censorship with Brian McNicoll (www.aim.org), Editor at Accuracy in Media who shows examples of speech suppression on Facebook and Twitter and discusses what can be done about it.

With great division in this country, are we headed for a second Civil War? Historian and novelist H.W. “Harry” Crocker III (www.regnery.com), shows how people from both sides in the 1860s were very similar in beliefs, unlike now where there is a deep ideological divide. The outrage and battles waged by the Left today could end up throwing us into a new Civil War.

John’s quote of the week:
What the Left doesn’t understand is: they think they’re going to come back into power at some point and then they’re going to declare war. The Right has been patient for a very long time. They have witnessed the shenanigans that have gone on both pre- and post-election. The Right will not tolerate that anymore.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the origin of fake news, how media outlets manipulate words to create a narrative, and the nature of censorship.

How does one discern truth in the age of fake news? Departing from the norm, Producer Steve takes over the mike for this week’s snoozalogue (don’t worry John will be back for the rest of the show), looking at ways to recognize truth whenever mainstream news pundits give you a fake story. All it takes is hard work and determination. And maybe a little prayer.

Back at the helm, John welcomes Linda Harvey (www.missionamerica.com), Founder of Mission America, who continues our discussion on education unions after the Janus decision and how the NEA looks out for itself and for teachers, but not for children.

Why is it so difficult for Islam to assimilate with Western culture? Robert Spencer (www.jihadwatch.org), Director of Jihad Watch, contrasts gender equality and free speech, bastions of the West, with traditional Islamic ideals and discusses the history of jihad.

The uproar continues over Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. David Harsanyi (www.thefederalist.com), Senior Editor at The Federalist, examines why leftists who oppose Judge Kavanaugh are more afraid of the Constitution than the man tasked with upholding it.

Understanding the past helps predict and possibly prevent calamity in the future. Stephen Halbrook (www.independent.org), Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, analyzes gun registration and confiscation in France just prior to Hitler’s takeover and asks the question: what would gun confiscation look like if it were implemented in today’s America?

Finally, longtime guest and friend of the program Avi Lipkin (www.vicmord.com) joins us to reveal Israel’s new Bible Bloc Party, a political group he founded to give Christians, a growing population in Israel, representation in the Knesset.

John’s quote of the week:
Gun registration almost always precedes gun confiscation. The real question is what happens after that? The people today who are screaming for more gun regulations are the very same voices that tell us our rights to free speech and other rights don’t count.

Section 6 In this week’s Section 6, we play an interview John gave on Stand Up For The Truth on Q90FM in Wisconsin recently. John discusses the frenetic downfall of the leftist ideology as well as President Trump’s complicated and intertwined global negotiations. He goes on to look at truth and relativism in today’s world and building your worldview on rock, not sand.
