What news from the Middle East? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and the rumors emerging as to what it might contain. How is Saudi Arabia involved? Will Mahmoud Abbas be happy? If these reports are true, he won’t be. Lesson to learn: when you refuse to participate in a process, you may end up with whatever you’re given. We’ll have to wait and see.

The transition from a Christian moral base to a far left progressive elitist state is trudging along, almost unabated. Philosophy professor and writer Jack Kerwick (www.frontpagemag.com) joins us to discuss the slow deterioration of the West, relative truth made absolute and absolute truth relativized, and the need to fight back against progressivism.

Appeasement has been a favorite tactic by leaders in the West toward brutal dictators. Chamberlain did it with Hitler; the Obama administration did it with Iran. Daniel Krygier (www.worldisraelnews.com), writer and political analyst for World Israel News, highlights the differences between one year of President Trump and eight years of the previous administration. Can our current president succeed in negotiations without appeasement?

Iran has established proxies throughout the Middle East but now there tentacles have reached the Americas. Joseph Humire (www.securefreesociety.org), Executive Director of the Center for a Secure Free Society examines Iran’s influence in Venezuela and calls on America to focus more of its foreign policy south of our borders.

Americans’ rights should be protected, especially during court cases. Christopher Holton (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Vice President for Outreach at the Center for Security Policy, describes the American Laws for American Courts, a policy that would shelter U.S. citizens in court from foreign laws and doctrines, such as sharia. Unsurprisingly, the usual antagonists are coming out against this.

John’s quote of the week:
Postmodernism is very relativistic and exists on a self-contradicting platform. However, while they are professing relativism, in reality underneath that platform they have absolutes which are undeclared.

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the things we put our hope in and predictions for the future that haven’t panned out – like most from the climate change crowd. He goes on to cover politically correct orthodoxy, social justice warriors, and new technology that can make you say things you never have and never would.

We are skipping the boralogue on this Labor Day weekend and diving right into the show with our first guest. Dan Gainor (www.mrc.org), Vice President of Business and Culture at Media Research Center, compares the Left’s attempts today at revising our history with Mao’s Cultural Revolution in the 1960s.

Continuing our series on free speech, Edmund Kozak (www.lifezette.com), political reporter with Lifezette, joins us to discuss censorship against conservatives by Facebook and Twitter and whether Google’s immense size qualifies it as a public utility.

Can Islam integrate into Western culture? Award-winning journalist and television producer Christine Douglass-Williams (www.jihadwatch.org) looks at Islam’s struggle between modernizing and retaining sharia law, and the West’s inability to discuss the issue due to political correctness.

Journalistic credibility, already at an historic low, took another hit this week. Curtis Houck (www.newsbusters.org), Managing Editor of NewsBusters, reports that after a Wall Street Journal editor asked his reporters to write fair, opinion-free stories, the New York Times and other leftists expressed outrage. Of course they did.

John’s quote of the week:
“There was an article in the New York Times and the author noted that hate speech was the same as physical violence and therefore we need to treat it that way. Do you realize that if we had had that same litmus test in this country, we never would have had an American revolution? We never would have had a country.”

Our Section 6 intelligence brief is taking Labor Day off, but John will be back next week with more analysis on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

Given all the evidence emerging after the shootings in Orlando, who should be held to blame for the massacre? The media would have you believe the answer is Christians. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at clear bias in media and leftist groups as the massive spin machine holds America in contempt – not ISIS or Islamic terrorism. Christians and conservatives are the guilty parties. For leftist elites, they’re in it to spin it, not to espouse the truth.

There’s a thin line between eliminating hate speech and suppressing free speech. Joshua Philipp (www.theepochtimes.com), Reporter for the Epoch Times, discusses how Facebook and Twitter continue to allow the promotion of terrorism on social media, but those who dare to expose terrorism with the truth have their accounts suspended. Traditional views of morality are changing which allow for policies like these to gain a foothold.

The Obama administration’s negotiation with Iran regarding their nuclear program is now being exposed as a package of secret side deals and lies fed to the American public. Meira Svirsky (www.clarionproject.org), Editor at the Clarion Project, examines the futility of snap back provisions in connection with European business as well as ineffective inspection policies thanks to a back room deal between Iran and the IAEA.

With talk of Islamic terror and the motivations behind the Orlando shooting, we welcome back to the program Daniel Akbari (www.stophonorkilling.com), attorney and expert on Islamic law to have an honest discussion regarding what the Koran and supporting documents actually say concerning sharia law and the difference between Muslims and Islamists.

John’s quote of the week:
“Expressions of support and sympathy from Christians and Christian churches which poured in (after the Orlando shootings) were rejected by the gay media because, of course, the Christians – not radical Islam – were responsible for this mess in the first place. Oh and by the way, if you believe in the Second Amendment, you might be responsible for it too.”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
