The past can be accurately predictive of the future. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at predictions and how, if you study the historical trends with politics and the economy, it’s easy to see where we’re headed. He highlights the leftward momentum toward a utopian society and the pushback that has resulted from it. When the storms arrive, we should be prepared and stand on rock, not on shifting sand.

Can we have human rights without natural law? Dan Philpott (www.arcoftheuniverse.info), Political Science Professor at the University of Notre Dame, joins us to discuss the nature of right and wrong and expectations surrounding Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s new Commission on Unalienable Rights.

When you sort through all the noise in the news today, certain data points about our future become clear. We welcome back futurist and author James Kunstler (www.kunstler.com) to the program to look at what’s in store for the Republicans and the Democrats, as well as what we can expect in the economy and free speech arenas.

To illustrate how effective predictions can be, John plays part of a speech from Robert Welch from 1968 showing exactly how progressive socialists have operated in the last half century. He also plays a speech from the late Dr. Michael Coffman, a former guest on Steel, highlighting the competing worldviews of John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

John’s quote of the week:
The purpose of rights as they were written in our Constitution is to act as a firewall, not to enable government but to block government from infringing on the rights of the people. People would then have the maximum opportunity to be free, to engage in free enterprise, and to be left alone.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play John’s latest appearance on Stand Up For the Truth on Q90FM out of Green Bay, Wisconsin. John and the hosts discuss the concept of hate, especially on the internet, reaching out to millennials, and how we got to this point of dysfunctional discussions, both online and in person.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who died in this week’s school shooting. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the ever-changing stances of those who want less murder from guns but are okay with abortion. There is a difference between the reality of what’s happening and the unreality of progressive proposals.

Ideology versus academic achievement is a dangerous battle in America’s schools. Katherine Kersten (www.americanexperiment.org), Founding Director at the Center of the American Experiment, examines how the Edina, Minnesota school district has gone from achievements to looking at everything through a PC lens that whites are responsible for the ills of minorities.

What is being said on the Temple Mount about Israel is different than what the media reports. Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting, examines the hate speech against Israel and the control of the Temple Mount.

Is it possible that jihadi training camps exist inside the U.S.? Ryan Mauro (www.clarionproject.org), National Security Analyst at the Clarion Project, looks at different examples of jihadi camps, what they’re preparing for, and how they are perceived by the public.

Immigration is a hot topic in America right now. Retired senior special agent with the INS Michael Cutler (www.michaelcutler.net) analyzes President Trump’s desire to grant amnesty to DACA recipients and shows the different ways our borders are circumvented.

We conclude the show this week with a replay of a Steel on Steel roundtable discussion on immigration from several years ago featuring James Horn and Patrick Astre.

John’s quote of the week:
The voices screaming about the need for a conversation on gun control are the same voices trying to suppress any conversation and free speech when it comes to abortion.

In this week’s Section 6, we finish the roundtable discussion on immigration from the end of our broadcast show. John goes on to look at possible charges against Benjamin Netanyahu, a cake baker winning in court, a mass exodus from California, and social justice warrior philosophy. He finishes out examining the Pope and possible strife within the Catholic Church.
