Fresh from his speaking engagement at the Worldview Weekend Conference in Missouri last week, John recounts in his boralogue some of the conversations he had with people he encountered on the trip. In large measure, people are nice, inquisitive and just want to live happy lives. But life must have purpose and that purpose can be found in God. So let’s help each other get to the finish line, enjoying life along the way.

Israel has weathered a barrage of rocket attacks from Gaza in the past week. Are we getting accurate information about the skirmish? Author and Captain in the Israeli Defense Forces, Dan Gordon, joins us to examine the differences in narratives from both sides and the media’s manipulation of the news. He also looks at the real reason behind the attacks.

John and Steve take a brief look at the media and discuss whether they are finally starting to be fair to the Trump administration or if they are playing defense for the Democrat Party in advance of what could be a serious FISA abuse scandal in coming weeks.

When we have a battle of worldviews, what are the nuances and tactics from both sides? Kameel Majdali (www.tan.org.au), Director of Teach All Nations, discusses the stark differences between traditional Western values and the far left progressive worldview and how Christians should engage those with whom they disagree.

Finally we welcome Michael Peroutka (www.theamericanview.com), Co-Founder of the Institute on the Constitution, who shows how there is a battle between those who honor the Biblically-based founding documents of America and those who try to tear them down and promote a socialist Utopian society.

John’s quote of the week:
In order to achieve the utopian vision, the utopiocracy shall we say, has to know everything you’re thinking, doing, and saying because everyone has to march in lock step with its dictates. But of course for this to happen you only have to give up your freedom.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play first an interview John gave recently on KYMS, a local radio station in north Idaho, where he discusses media narratives, government influencing churches, and the martyred church. Plus, he gives a weather forecast for the greater Laodicea area! Then we play a brief appearance John made on Brannon Howse’s program from the Worldview Weekend conference in Missouri last weekend.

The government shutdown is seen as a political battle but it does point to several more pressing issues. In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the future of the U.S. economy, the ineffectual nature of Congress, and the government problem of high taxation. These are important issues to discuss, but the mainstream media insists on perpetuating their own narrative, which deprives the public of accurate information.

American culture has served this country well for more than two centuries but it is always under attack and could eventually be destroyed. We replay an interview from 2010 that John had with Richard Lamm (www.du.edu/korbel/ipps), former Governor of Colorado, who listed the things he would do if he wanted to destroy America. Eight years later, we see these things playing out.

A one-world government has long been the plan for globalists and the UN, but do church leaders understand this? Ken Ortize (www.calvaryspokane.com), Lead Pastor at Calvary Spokane, joins us to give a pastor’s point of view on globalism and how those policies could fit with Biblical prophecy.

John and Producer Steve finish the program this week discussing the media’s malfeasance in two separate stories: one about supposed racism by Catholic high school boys and one about supposed impeachable offenses by President Trump. Both of these stories were almost completely false and caused such outrage for, as it turns out, no reason at all.

John’s quote of the week:
“Two worldviews are vying for control of this country: one that works, that’s the traditional one, and one that has been tried in many other places – the Soviet Union, Communist China – and it doesn’t work. Those are the two that are vying for control and the process is to undermine who we are and what we are.”

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview from October 2017 with Yuri Maltsev, who gives us the truth about socialism – their tactics and why it has never once succeeded.

There are a lot of issues circulating in the world right now and very few of them are accurately reported on. In this week’s boralogue, John jumps from issue to issue, covering the possible halting of the Fed’s rate raising cycle, how support for Mahmoud Abbas is down and support for Israel is up, and the agreement between the Vatican and communist China that seems a little too familiar. Worldviews can somehow be both popular and dysfunctional at the same time.

From the Declaration of Independence to the Constitution, this country was founded on unity, but today it seems to be all about division. We welcome back author and historian Daniel Mallock (www.newenglishreview.org) to discuss the Alinsky tactics of division and constant friction that lead to chaos and loss of freedom. It’s up to us to identify these threats and push back on them.

Europe has also come a long way ideologically, though they are further down the road to division. Writer and retired oncologist David Stolinsky (www.stolinsky.com) analyzes the differences in Europe, both past and present and shows how leftist ideologies are gaining a foothold in America in his home state of California.

The term ‘navigable’ has changed dramatically over the past 10 years. Anthony Francois (www.pacificlegal.org), Senior Attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation, examines how the EPA has deemed tiny draining ditches on private property as navigable and how the Clean Water Act has gone from fighting pollution to becoming a land grab for the government.

John’s quote of the week:
Governments always act in their own best interest, not necessarily in the interests of the people. Because of that, they are most likely to define out of existence those things that would criticize the government itself. Lo and behold, this is exactly what we find happening in Europe.”

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at Russia’s recent skirmish with Ukrainian ships off the Black Sea, failing worldviews in Europe, a mysterious wave-like rumble around the world, as well as other science and legal news stories.

Postmortem

The Kavanaugh confirmation circus is finally over. What can we learn from all of this? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the true nature of this battle: the death of judicial activism. SCOTUS may now return to correctly interpreting the Constitution. But there is a devious pattern to defeat candidates and, if they are not defeated, there is a pattern to delegitimize them and the Court. The battle may have been won, but the war is still ongoing.

John then plays a clip of Senator Ben Sasse (R-Nebraska) from the pre-allegation portion of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing where he talks about the three legs of government and why the Supreme Court should not take on the role of Congress or be the center of politics.

John and Producer Steve sit down for a thorough postmortem on the Kavanaugh confirmation process, discussing the reasons behind the Democrats’ tactics, why presumption of innocent should be paramount, and how we bridge the gap between two sides with two very different ideologies.

No one seems to be talking about our economic future, so we have taken it upon ourselves to do just that. John examines the Trump euphoria and plays clips from Ron Paul and Dave McAlvany, who both suggest that we should learn the lessons of 2008 and watch very carefully the condition of our current economic bubble.

What is it like to walk off the Democrat plantation and promote conservatism? We welcome to the program the always entertaining real life sisters and internet sensations Diamond & Silk (www.diamondandsilkinc.com) who advocate for getting out the vote, watching their new movie, Dummycrats, and fighting hypocrisy in politics and the media.

John’s quote of the week:
Are we going to be a free society with the rights guaranteed under the Constitution of speech and religion and press and property – all of which have been under siege by judicial activism for the last 50 years – or will we go careening forward into some kind of oligarchic, progressive, socialistic dictatorship that we know from countries around the world always fails with economic and social collapse?

In this week’s Section 6, John looks at the recent market dip, anti-Semitism in Europe, the backfire of liberal tactics against Kavanaugh, and a very liberal news article, which he deconstructs. We then play an interview John gave with a local (northern Idaho) radio station, KYMS, where he and the host discussed the Pope, church history, and the latest with Christian persecution around the world.
