Is it possible to have a newsworthy protest without violence and the shouting down of opponents? In this week’s boralogue, John looks at a protest in Sacramento earlier this month where thousands of people rallied against a bill that would have hindered homeschool parents’ ability to teach their children. The protest was peaceful and stood in stark contrast to the violence of Antifa rallies. But unlike with Antifa, there was a virtual media blackout in Sacramento.

Plus, in our clip of the week, John analyzes President Trump’s remarks ending the so-called Iran Deal and the aftermath of those comments.

Leading up to President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran Deal, Israel pulled off a massive coup in Tehran. Ken Timmerman (www.iran.org), President and CEO of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran, looks at Mossad’s operation to steal thousands of documents proving Iran’s nuclear program is still active and discusses President Trump’s battle with globalist elites.

Continuing our series on the heckler’s veto, we welcome Chris Gaubatz (www.understandingthethreat.com), Executive Vice President at Understanding the Threat, who examines free speech versus sharia law and how civilization jihad is happening all around us while most of us are unaware of its existence.

Revenue to the government may be up, but spending is out of control. Steve Levine (www.axios.com), Future Editor at online news magazine Axios, shows how millennials will be paying long into the future for the economic misdeeds of today. If we’re going to solve the problem, we need to start talking about possible solutions as soon as possible.

Finally, we welcome Tammi Rossman-Benjamin (www.amchainitiative.org), Director of the AMCHA Initiative, who analyzes anti-Semitism on college campuses and points out the hypocrisy of people who praise tolerance and decry hatred, but who are nothing but intolerant and hateful.

John’s quote of the week:
Which group of people would you rather listen to: those who can present rational, quiet arguments for their position in a respectful way, or those who shout down with irrationality and unreason anyone who opposes them, chanting cheap clichés which say absolutely nothing? If you’re a sane person, the answer is pretty simple.

In this week’s Section 6, John and Producer Steve discuss the following: an ongoing effort to subvert the electoral college system in favor of the popular vote, the prospect of the U.S. becoming the world’s top exporter of oil, and an interesting twist in the Robert Mueller saga.

Bernie Sanders recently challenged White House OMB director nominee Russell Vought about his Christianity, questioning his ability to serve because of his faith. In this week’s boralogue, John not only looks at several examples of Sanders violating the first amendment during his questioning but also shows the brilliance and value that our first amendment affords U.S. citizens.

Two freedoms being currently violated on California college campuses are the freedoms of religion and speech. Tammi Rossman-Benjamin (www.amchainitiative.org), Co-Founder of the AMCHA Initiative rejoins us to discuss anti-Semitic protestors at pro-Israel events and how these groups benefit from aligning themselves with other progressives.

Canada is experiencing freedom violations through hate speech laws. Jeff Gunnarson (www.campaignlifecoalition.com), National Vice President of Campaign Life Coalition in Toronto analyzes Canadian tribunals that can remove children from homes if parents are not politically correct when it comes to social issues like the gender identity of their children.

Finally, we look at fake news and the media’s war on President Trump. Seton Motley (www.lessgovernment.org), President of Less Government examines why politicians and the media dislike President Trump and shows that by executing a hostile takeover of a swampy, bureaucratic government, Trump is hopefully setting a precedent for future leaders.

John’s quote of the week:
“On this Fourth of July holiday, remind people of what the earliest rights in our country were … freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press. All of those freedoms are fundamental in keeping freedom itself alive, because once they die, freedom goes with it.”

Section 6 is taking a break this week as we celebrate our nation’s 241st birthday. We’ll be back next week for more analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

What is the biggest crisis facing the world today? Is it terrorism, global warming, the refugee crisis, or a failing economy? In this week’s boralogue, John shows that the biggest crisis is the threat to freedom of speech. Global warming dissenters are summarily dismissed and shunned from the scientific community. Those who don’t believe in the current PC narrative on college campuses are told to shut up – in the name of tolerance, of course. Fortunately, PC-think is beginning to unravel as the stupidity of its assertions is becoming ever more obvious.

How did we get to the point where free speech is under attack? David Horowitz (www.horowitzfreedomcenter.org), Founder and President of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, reviews the history of political correctness and the battle of ideas, asserting that the issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution. The goal of progressives is to destroy America and the Constitution. It’s up to us to speak out before this becomes a reality.

Jewish students on college campuses are experiencing a very real politically correct backlash. Tammi Rossman-Benjamin (www.amchainitiative.org), Lecturer at UC Santa Cruz and Director at the AMCHA Initiative, examines how those opposing the BDS movement on campuses are being physically threatened and silenced. They are finding it is not a level playing field for protected speech among different campus groups. The new anti-Semitism looks a lot like the old as the assault on free speech continues.

Where does the church stand? Aubrey Shines (www.glorytoglory.org), Founder of Glory to Glory Ministries, asserts that churches should stand at the forefront of political activism and speak out for truth when politically correct narratives stand against it. God’s Word is a call to action and the Truth shall lead the way.

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
