John Loeffler: Changing the ‘No’ Status Quo

It’s always important to remember that reality always becomes real. But often we are blind to what’s really going on because the media choose to focus on unimportant things. Not so with us. In today’s boralogue, John looks at the results of the Israel-UAE peace deal which was brought about largely due to a change in the philosophy among Middle East peace narratives. After years of Palestinian leadership refusing to negotiate, the new strategy is to apprehend reality and upend the status quo. This has brought about alliances no one could predict, but once the old paradigm assumptions were removed, it became obvious those alliances were actually needed.

We remember the 9/11 victims and their families who suffered 19 years ago today when reality became all too real in New York, DC, Pennsylvania, and across America. Our prayers are with them.

David RubinThe United Arab Emirates and Israel are poised to sign a historic agreement. What are the implications? David Rubin (www.shilohisraelchildren.org), former mayor of Shiloh, Israel joins us from his home there. He looks at both the strategic and economic implications of the agreement, focusing on the constant threat from Iran and the financial impact of partnering with the Middle East’s only democracy.

Mr. Shiloh discusses how President Trump’s other deals in the Middle East have taken a different path than his predecessor’s deals and how any deal must be focused on peace and not on specific people groups. He also shares his work as founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund.
