Election fraud and interference actually do happen, especially in the country of Belarus. Defense and aerospace veteran Reuben Johnson (www.thebulwark.com), is back with us from Kiev, Ukraine to examine the blatantly fraudulent election in Belarus and how it affects the area. Will Putin risk another revolution on his border? More importantly, will he invade the country like he did Crimea?

Mr. Johnson details the geopolitics of Eastern Europe, including how NATO would respond should Russia invade another country, what the U.S.’s involvement would be, and how China could benefit from the current chaos in Europe.

Backbone of the World Economy

It’s easy to be overwhelmed as a deluge of news bombards us from all directions. In this week’s boralogue, John rises above the noise and looks at where we stand, including the narrow path between fighting the virus and fighting problems that arise from a slow economy, and how progressive narratives are being uprooted in the virus’s wake. The best way to get through all the noise, however, is with faith in God, who is our anchor point.

Michael FarrisA new battle has erupted on an old narrative: homeschooling is bad for students. Michael Farris (www.hslda.org), Chairman of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association, shows that educrats have always disregarded parental values in favor of the progressive ideologies of teachers. With homeschools gaining in popularity, now these educrats are fighting back.

Bill ReedHow are Russia and Vladimir Putin dealing with the geopolitics surrounding this pandemic? Craig Reed (www.wcraigreed.com), former U.S. Navy Diver and Co-Founder of Us4Warriors Veterans Foundation, analyzes how Vladimir Putin navigates the global chess board as leader of Russia, how he came to power, and what Western leaders should do to compete.

Steve ElwartSteve Elwart, Director of Systems Engineering for Ergon Refining in Mississippi, joins us for the rest of the program to examine all aspects of the oil industry from extracting it out of the ground to delivery at the gas station as well as prices on the oil market. He and John then discuss how different the world will be when we emerge from this pandemic.

John’s quote of the week:
With regard to public schools versus homeschools: “Do the views of the parents get reflected in what’s taught in the school or is government dictating to the students and to the parents what will be taught? Totalitarian societies dictate. Free societies do not.

On this week’s extra segment, we play an interview with Victor Davis Hanson from a little over a year ago where he discusses the reason for President’s Trump’s victory in 2016, mistakes that those on Left make regarding the president, and a few critiques of the administration. John follows up with some analysis on free speech and the economy.

New Year Turning

160053 12/31/2016

The year is coming to a close and 2016 has seen a major shift in geopolitics. In this week’s boralogue, John shows that we are entering a fourth turning crisis and explains how this can happen either democratically or via a strongman. Both options have their pros and cons. New Year’s is a time of renewal and change. How will that happen? Stay tuned.

Who is Vladimir Putin and how did he come to power? David Satter (www.hudson.org), Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute examines the history of Russia’s president and what U.S.-Russia relations may look like between presidents Putin and Trump.

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has tenuous ties to Hamas. Kyle Shideler (www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Director of Threat Information at the Center for Security Policy explores these connections and shows that political correctness in the U.S. has resulted in problems both in the media and at the FBI.

Finally, we round out the year with a conversation on economics. Jim Puplava (www.financialsense.com), President of Puplava Financial Services joins us to discuss changes in geopolitics over the past few years, the current financial paradigm shift, and future economic trends.

John’s quote of the week:
“Remember as we open the new year that governments come and go, cycles come and go and repeat as people try to create utopia on earth. But there is a time coming which scripture promises will be a utopia led by Jesus Christ, the King of kings.”

Our Section 6 intelligence brief is on holiday hiatus but we will return in 2017 with more analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.

We offer our prayers and support to the family and friends of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia who passed away last week. His death has stirred up a political firestorm as to who the next appointee will be. In this week’s boralogue, John takes a look at what the Constitution says, how it’s interpreted, and the dangers of judicial activism in the country’s highest court. Does the law mean what it says or does it mean what the elites want it to mean right now?

We then shift gears as John analyzes a recent report from Russia’s newspaper, Pravda, detailing a high-level meeting between Vladimir Putin and Henry Kissinger. Worldwide financial systems may be coming to an end soon. Make ready the chessboard as international players begin jockey for position. Where will the United States land?

Egypt, a strategic player on our global chessboard, is uniquely positioned in Middle East affairs. Joining us this week is Raymond Stock (www.meforum.org), Instructor of Arabic at Louisiana State University and former resident of Egypt, who discusses the country’s succession of leadership in the past seven years and its relationship with Israel and with the Islamists who thirst for control.

Finally, we swing to China and the hundreds of millions of Christians who reside there. Elizabeth Kendal (www.elizabethkendal.com), Adjunct Research Fellow at Melbourne School of Theology, exposes the rarely reported persecution of Christians by the Communists party in China and the slow global infiltration of Marxist ideology into schools, media, and entertainment.

John’s quote of the week:
“In the ongoing environment of redefinition, the courts are discovering all sorts of ‘new’ rights in the Constitution that are created out of thin air. New rights trump old established rights, which are clearly established in the Constitution. If the law doesn’t mean what it says, does it mean anything at all?”

As always, join us online for our Section 6 intelligence briefing featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world.
